Posted By pc25 8 months, 4 weeks ago in News

Congressional Republicans have finally demanded an end to federal funding for ACORN after more than a dozen states have opened investigations into fraud in their voter-registration efforts.  House Minority Leader John Boehner has not only called to end that funding for ACORN but also for all federal candidates to stop contracting with ACORN while investigations continue into their business practices:

    FTA

The federal government should never have funded ACORN in the first place, especially when it and other organizations like it take partisan positions in elections. The very fact that Senator Barack Obama hires ACORN and spends $800,000 on them in a month represents a conflict of interest in providing federal funds. Essentially, those who earmark funds to ACORN have done nothing different from those who have their legislative aides do campaign work out of their offices — and everyone knows it.

Wherever ACORN works, they file hundreds and thousands of bogus registrations. These aren’t isolated incidents, but strongly suggest a systemic effort to undermine democracy.

The STRONG ARM, BROWN SHIRT, TACTICS OF A CHICAGO POLITICIAN COMMUNITY ORGANIZER STREET THUG........certainly not change you can believe in........

ACORN doesn't just registrar people to vote. ACORN also sues banks to force them to offer risky loans.

It would seem that Obama and his groupie thugs are trying to bully America into voting for him.

I hope this story blows up BIG in Obama's face. It might and I say might wake up some of the citizens out of their hypnotized minds.

Boehner is grandstanding for his extremist base. No way will any bill or piece of anti-voter legislation make it though the house and senate just because a few loud repugs "demand it." The repugs are trying to block funding for anything that would help America vote. Keep going ACORN, keep pokin' the elephant in the butt with a stick. The more BS the repugs try, the wider Obama's lead becomes.

      Could it be a coincidence?

In olden times, pagans used an oak branch tipped with an acorn as a "priapic wand," a wooden effigy of, that's right, a Boehner.

I say let the investigations proceed and I think Obama should call for it as well. If there is anything illegal going on, yank their funding and take away their nonprofit status.

          Not only halt the funding..
But make them pay back the funding they used to commit the crimes.

I see this A.C.O.R.N Incident as another insult to the voice of the people. The campaign should be scraped. Bush is lame ducked anyway. We start over. This time we place military guard at the registration places and at the voting polls. If we don't do it now we will end up doing it in the future if there is a future voice of the people to be heard. Hillary should be there in this election and Obama should step down. His statement was that won't happen in the general election. CNN a week ago. In other words He cheated and he knew he was cheating. Hillary should be outraged and taking legal action. This is where the justice system shows itself with it's hand out to catch the money as they have said nothing. The people's voice has become nothing more than a census taker.
