Posted By pc25 1 year, 1 month ago in NewsCongressional Republicans have finally demanded an end to federal funding for ACORN after more than a dozen states have opened investigations into fraud in their voter-registration efforts. I wonder if it's occurred to Boner that he should have said "no" more often to Bush's reckless and hopelessly misguided spending priorities over the last 8 years. Was saying yes to a multi-trillion dollar illegal war in Iraq and unprecedented wartime tax cuts for the ultra wealthy REALLY a fiscally sound idea? I don't think it was, cons. ACORN is small potatoes and I wonder how many of you poorly educated Bushbots had even heard of them three weeks. Exactly...Ya hadn't. So SHADDAP and let's look at the REAL culprits in the destruction of the worlds economy. Bush, Cheney, their oil baron and defense industry buddies, rubber stamp and 3 day workweek Republicons and last but certainly not least, the NeoCON Limbaugh Cult (NLC) with an average IQ hovering around 50. Nutcases pobably can't even read this post without a freaking dictionary. Geez. ;-(

The federal government should never have funded ACORN in the first place, especially when it and other organizations like it take partisan positions in elections. The very fact that Senator Barack Obama hires ACORN and spends $800,000 on them in a month represents a conflict of interest in providing federal funds. Essentially, those who earmark funds to ACORN have done nothing different from those who have their legislative aides do campaign work out of their offices — and everyone knows it.
Wherever ACORN works, they file hundreds and thousands of bogus registrations. These aren’t isolated incidents, but strongly suggest a systemic effort to undermine democracy.

Isn't it compassionate to get loans for people to buy a house they can't make payments on??
Isn't it compassionate to give people hope when you know that they will be foreclosed and booted out onto the street?
Isn't it compassionate to use lower income people to garner votes by pushing subprime mortgages? Why be concerned about what happens to them later?

Well, wasn't it Obama who told his followers to, "get in the face" or people who disagree with them...to make them understand his point of view...

The Kook-Aid (yep spelled it right) is too strong for his followers, so maybe some independents might take heed...but the MSM won't jump on this...it doesn't help their candidate, so they won't report on it. -

He controls sufficient repug obstructionist votes to back Dumya's vetos like he did on stem cell research and 10 million more poor kids getting some healthcare under SCRIPTS!
Reply
He backed Dumya's threat to veto the first Defense spending bill of this year because the Dems put an amendment in it to allow our Sadam tortured U.S. soldiers to sue Iraq... since Dumya has allowed foreign companies to sue Iraq for like reparations. Well, our tortured soldiers can't sue - big business has more rights than Americans under the repugs!

I see this A.C.O.R.N Incident as another insult to the voice of the people. The campaign should be scraped. Bush is lame ducked anyway. We start over. This time we place military guard at the registration places and at the voting polls. If we don't do it now we will end up doing it in the future if there is a future voice of the people to be heard. Hillary should be there in this election and Obama should step down. His statement was that won't happen in the general election. CNN a week ago. In other words He cheated and he knew he was cheating. Hillary should be outraged and taking legal action. This is where the justice system shows itself with it's hand out to catch the money as they have said nothing. The people's voice has become nothing more than a census taker.
