Did he know the gay guy who had homosexual sex and cocaine in a limo with Obama, or the guy who belonged to Obama'a Mosque when they agreed to a jihaad against America,
Reply
or the guy who said that Obama never pledges allegiance to our dflag and who will want to be sworn in on a Koran??
Oh no, he's the guy who's related to Chalabi, who told us why we needed to go into Iraq..
You people would listen to a homeless drunk..You really are pathetic!
(By the way) 15 extra votes in Ilinois mean nothing..Nweither do 150,000.
Obama is gong to win Illinois 2,2000,00o to 900,000,,so why would ANYONE cheat in a state where they are already going to win??
Ask the Republican: You only cheat in Ohio or Florida, and you do it mechanically.
You don't involve a people trail.
Haven't you learned anything? -

I would be worried if people were VOTING many times, not registering. . . . Registering many times doesn't help Obama--so it's not to Obama's advantage when people register more than once. I smell a GOP rat behind this. If the young man from the pizza establishment registered too many times, then that's HIS problem, not Obama's. The young man should have known better because he knew he'd registered the first time.

This story is typical of GOP scam attempts. There is nothing in it that indicates ANY voter was regisitered illegally. Thereafter it is all ugly innuendo without any evidence.

GOP's ACORN 'Voter Fraud' Lie Ramped Up
I had been intending to post an answer to the ongoing -- and quickly escalating -- ACORN smears being issued of late by the GOP enemies of democracy out there, who have decided to intensify their unsubstantiated assaults on the community organization, given its effectiveness at registering millions of low-income voters across the country....
... Doubtless you've heard the smears by now: that ACORN is committing "voter fraud", on behalf of Obama, in hotly contested swing states. The media has been all too happy to pass that garbage on, without bothering to note that, in fact, the organization attempts to authenticate every registration form their workers submit and by law they must turn in every form to election officials -- even if they find a registration to be fraudulent when they call the phone number submitted on the form, or if the forms are otherwise suspect or incomplete.
They do so, and they flag all questionable registration forms as being suspect before turning them in to officials.
The thanks they receive for registering millions of new voters that nobody else has bothered with, and for notifying officials about questionable registration forms when they turn them in, is that the GOP's democracy-hating propagandists and election officials run to the media shouting, "ACORN is committing voter fraud! They've turned in hundreds and thousands of fraudulent registration forms!"
Of course they have. They have to by law. But what those GOP despots of democracy always forget to mention is that it was ACORN themselves who notified officials about the potentially fraudulent and/or incomplete forms in the first place!
For the quickest idea of how the GOP ACORN scam has run amok, dutifully forwarded by the often clueless corporate media, and then the rightwing wankers in the blogosphere who are only to happy to help enable those who are lying to them -- by putting truth, democracy and country second -- take a look at the following game of rightwing "blogosphere telephone" concerning a recent news conference called by a Lake County, Indiana GOP chair in order to sound the phony alarm about "fraud" committed by ACORN....

"You can tell them you're registered as many times as you want - they do not care," said Lateala Goins, 21, who was subpoenaed.
"They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter," she told The Post.
She added that she never put down an address on any of the registration forms, just her name.
A third subpoenaed voter, Freddie Johnson, 19, filled out registration cards 72 times over 18 months, officials said.-

Registering under a fake name is illegal. But officials usually catch multiple registrations and toss them.
ACORN's Cleveland spokesman, Kris Harsh, said his group collected 100,000 voter-registration cards; only about 50 were questionable, he claimed.
You missed that point, if you had one there wolfie. -

Well Wolfie, your "scare tactic" is revealed by the very quotes you cite. NONE of those voter registration forms would have been accepted and verified. However, ACORN (and any other group registering voters) is required by law to submit even the defective forms (and to notify voting officials that they are defective).

Frankly, sounds like the GOP has been running a scam by trying to find "volunteers" to fake reigstration multiple times to try to smear ACORN.
Time to label the smear campaigns for what they are Wolfie.
Obama the Subhuman
Increasingly, right-wing conservatives and Republican political leaders are issuing dire warnings to the American public that they – and only they – are the legitimate rulers of the United States and the world. This basic contempt for anything but one-party rule is manifested in a number of dire threats repeated by the party, with its members promising the end of Western civilization as we know it if they lose their dominant status in government. A review of Conservative and Republican contempt for bi-partisan politics is in order....
- On the culture war front, Republicans and conservatives have been unrelenting in their religious fanaticism and racism. Residents of West Virginia and Arkansas have received mailings directly from the Republican National Committee warning that liberals will ban the bible....
- Right-wing pundits, echoed by major conservative political leaders, have warned that a victory for Barack Obama will be a victory for Islam, radical terrorism, and anti-Americanism....
- Conservative legal officials have essentially declared war on the Democratic Party, not for violating the law, but due to their own ideological prejudices. Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was recently exposed for allowing politically motivated prosecutions against prominent Democratic political officials....
None of these right-wing hit jobs or smear tactics should strike voters as merely "more of the same" negative politicking in an election season....-

The Democrats' attempt to appeal across party lines has clearly not been the preferred tactic of the Republican Party. Angry over their likely loss of power in the upcoming election, they have become increasingly desperate in their attacks on the Democrats and the legitimacy of the two party state. This is particularly disturbing at a time when it is becoming harder and harder to discern concrete or substantive differences in the economic policies of the two parties. In reality, Obama and Biden's vague references to "regulation" don't amount to a whole lot when they fail to follow them up with actual policy proposals. That these Democrats are demonized by Republicans as sub-human, dangerous, or terrorist is more a sign of the growing extremism of conservatives than of the moral weakness or treachery of the Democrats. The Democratic Party today may be morally bankrupt, spineless, and bland, but none of those are anywhere near as dangerous as the Republican Party's fundamentalist contempt for multi-party elections and bi-partisan politics.

I don't think they care enough about their voters to consider them intelligent or not. They only want them to vote as many times as possible or have someone else vote for them as many times as possible. It's all about power for the liberal, progressive democrats. If it were about helping people they wouldn't have sacked and looted Frannie and Freddie and all the while telling everyone that Fannie and Freddie were, "just fine" under the guidance of Franklin Raines, democrat and adviser to Barack Obama.-

What's really scary, if I understand correctly, one of the voter registration managers said in a TV interview that it is not considered a "crime" to register multiple times but that they have to wait to see if the perp has actually voted multiple times. Something doesn't smell right!!

No concrete evidence of systemic voter fraud in the United States has ever surfaced. Many election integrity experts believe claims of voter fraud are a ploy by Republicans to suppress minorities and poor people from voting.
ACORN has long been a target of Republican Party operatives dating as far back as the 2004 presidential election. But the accusations of malfeasance have never been supported by evidence.
Three or four former U.S. Attorneys out of the nine fired in 2006 were targeted because they refused to bring criminal charges against individuals affiliated with ACORN.
The GOP has, through state GOP governments, attempted to purge tens of thousands of legitimately registered voters in 6 battleground states in the past few weeks.-

Why didn't these two poor 'hounded' people just call ACORN and tell them they were being asked to sign multiple voter cards. Every organization (that includes republican ones) that employs people to gather petitions and voter registration on a piece work basis have had problems with workers padding their totals to get more money. When they are discovered they are fired.

You mean the voter should have to take the time and call ACORN over the ACORN people saying thank you for voting when they are told no thanks I'm already registered?
Reply
Why hasn't ACORN seen that people are bringing in the same names over and over again, fired the people resposible, tossed out the duplicates and set down and checked Allllllll there data to ensure fairness? We'll see if that happened or they just added them to their numbers in an attempt to sway the outcome to the one they want to win.-

They are, as all such political organizations, just trying to get people registered. They collect the cards and turn them over to county officials whose job it is to verify the info. It's not the job of these organizations to legally verify voter info, it's the governments job. I'm sure if ACORN had been notified that there were people encouraging multiple registration they would have fired those responsible.

Doesn't anyone realize? You can "register" as many times as you like 10, 20, 100, 1000 times. It does not matter, you only get one vote per person per address, period. In fact, if you are black and you live in Florida or Ohio, 1000 times may not be enough registrations as the Repuglicans will have you illegally purged as soon as you have registered.
Reply
What ever happened about that fake registration program in the last election? You know, the one PROVEN to have been funded by the RNC under orders from Karl Rove. Where dumpsters were found stuffed with all the voter registrations that had been marked Democrat or Independent. They got paid by the registration destroyed not number registered. And you losers have the GALL to make up stories and complain about ACORN? -

If these people's testimony turns out to be true, the ACORN workers who knowingly registered them multiple times are guilty of a Federal felony and should be dealt with accordingly. I'm rooting for Obama, but I don't believe such shenanigans will be needed to help him win, and if he can't win in a fair fight, he deserves to loose.
Reply
ACORN was apparently bringing in workers off the street and in some cases paying them per registration. That's an obvious incentive for fraud, and should definitely be stopped.
As I have said on other threads on this topic, the Republicans are more guilty of electioneering than the Democrats. We had the firings of US Attorneys because they refused to prosecute meritless voter registration cases. We have the Republican owned companies that make electronic voting machines with no audit trail, machines that have been shown to have tilted results to Republicans. We have state GOP led administrations deliberately and unjustly dropping tens of thousands of minority voters in 6 battleground states -- something that happens every election cycle.
