Will MSM Report on Obama Membership in Socialist New Party? »
Posted By PinkyPie 1 year, 4 months ago in Political NewsThe mainstream media thought that the membership of Todd Palin, who is not a candidate for any office, in the Alaska Independence Party important enough to report in such outlets as the Los Angeles Times , MSNBC , and the New York Times , among others. So now that Barack Obama's membership in the far left New Party has been unearthed, will they report his membership in that Socialist organization?

I am not surprised but I am surprised this information was unearthed. Great post, thanks Pinky. I doubt if the msm even mentions it unless they are forced to talk about it. Fox did a news story on it tonight on the Britt Hume hour.

I'm surprised how little my fellow Christian Conservatives understand the labels they throw around.
For instance .... the current President ... the one y'all voted for ... is the closest thing to pure Socialist in our generation. MUCH more than Clinton ever was ... and more likely more than Obama.
Think I'm kidding?
Look at what has just happened.
GW came out of the White House a couple weeks ago to say that the Governement has to BAIL OUT Wall Street because 'Wall Street was taking losses'. (This was three weeks after telling the nation the economic fundamentals were strong)
It soon became apparent that the bill GeeDub was agitating for was a MASSIVE bailout ... with NO ACCOUNTABILITY and NO OVERSIGHT ... and no way for our nation to recoup this investment (bailout).
See?
That's called S O C I A L I S M.
Get it?
But what my fellow Christian Conservatives refuse to acknowlege is that this President has a long history of favoring SOCIALISM over Private Enterprise.
As you may remember, I've been giving the example about how GW got the City of Arlington to RAISE TAXES to build HIM and his PARTNERS ... THEIR baseball stadium.
That's pure Socialism.
Except ... in a perverse twist that only the most cynical business person could enjoy ... once the CITY built the stadium ... these business partners would OWN the stadium ... which they promptly sold after a short period of time.
That's where GW got his first money. ..
There are other examples from GeeDub as well.
For instance ... needing land to build this pean to Socialism ... GW used EMINENT DOMAIN to STEAL 200 acres from good, middle class citizens.
Some of them fought him in court ... specifically the Curtis Mathes family. But hey ... it's difficult to stand in the way of the Modern Republican version of Socialism.
See?
I mean ... I don't want to spoil your fun.
I realize it's a time honored ploy to call Democrats Socialists ... but considering the way the Republican Party has changed so dramatically the past few decades ... you might want to chill the smug stridency of these claims.

Lot's of stories with a negative slant are on the Front Page of Propeller every day!
Why just yesterday ... there was a story that my fellow Christian Conservatives were VERY excited to get out to the public.
It was about how Barack Obama's plane smelled ... or so some blogger said.
You know ... I realize that claiming that the world is against the Right Wing point of view does more harm to the Right Wing than anything.
First of all ... it makes y'all look like you are even bigger whiners than you are. And THAT'S A LOT OF WHININ!
Believe me, this mantra of Liberal Bias everywhere is demeaning to yourselves. Plus, it makes you look hopelessly stupid to normal Americans.

We really don't need this formal association -- if that's what it is to determine whether Obama is primarily capitalistic or primarily socialistic. All we need do is listen to the plans that come out of his mouth.

His definition of a tax cut for everyone is to tax those he deems to make "more than enough" and give it directly to those who don't make enough. If this is not wealth distribution, I don't know what is.
He wants to expand gov't into nearly every facet of our lives -- including those few that have somehow managed to slip below the radar. When pressed as to what he would cut from his proposals given the dire condition of the economy, he could only name the new programs he couldn't POSSIBLY cut.
Obama = bigger gov't. (Than even Bush) -

You know ... I wonder why Mainstream Media hasn't done a story about the charges ... made by many fellow Christian Conservatives on Propeller ... that McCain collaborated with the enemy while he was a prisoner?

I mean ... in February .. March ... Propeller was filled with Righties calling John McCain a traitor ... even going into detail that John Stockdale had to discipline McCain's fellow prisoners from retaliating against McCain for his treachery.
I know many Conservatives agree with this story because whenever someone posted this comment ... all the Righties gave the comment 'Positives' ... (back then, you could see who voted Pos or Neg)
I guess Mainstream Media isn't as biased as my fellow Christian Conservatives claim ... of course ... we all know that they only say that as a ploy to get extra special consideration from media ... you know ... like CHEATING.

Along with being a theiving conartist as was provedin the Keating Scandal, John McCain has an Iran-Contra connection. In the 1980s, McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.

The U.S. Council for World Freedom aided rebels trying to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua. That landed the group in the middle of the Iran-Contra affair and in legal trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, which revoked the charitable organization's tax exemption.
The council created by retired Army Maj. Gen. John Singlaub was the U.S. chapter of the World Anti-Communist League, an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America. After setting up the U.S. council, Singlaub served as the international league's chairman.
McCain's tie to Singlaub's council is undergoing renewed scrutiny after his campaign criticized Obama for his link to Ayers, a former radical who engaged in violent acts 40 years ago. Over the weekend, Democratic operative Paul Begala said on ABC's "This Week" that this "guilt by association" tactic could backfire on the McCain campaign by renewing discussion of McCain's service on the board of the U.S. Council for World Freedom, "an ultraconservative right-wing group."
So, he drops indentiary bombs on vietnamese children, and calls himself a war hero, then sponsors death squads in Latin america. Warmongering murderer McCain, and his side kick, the evangelical creationist moron.-

On June 15, 2008, Mark Leftly of the UK’s The Independent wrote that former Danish premier Rasmussen was
… in talks with aides to the US presidential nominee Barack Obama about the regulation of private equity firms and hedge funds.
The names of Obama’s aides are not mentioned in this or the following report from EMII, which added June 18, 2008
In addition to contacting Obama’s people, [Rasmussen] has also contacted, Barney Frank, the chairman of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, and former World Bank Chief Economist Joseph Stiglitz.
IBD reported in August 2008 that Rasmussen said

This is a link to a far-right web page, where the writer gives us quotes from an 'archived' web page, - supposedly from 1997,
written by unnamed people supposedly linked to socialists, who supposedly are listing Obama, correctly or not as a member of their party,
- though Obama ran as a Democrat for his state senate seat.
In other words, the point of this story is the accumulation of hot air designed to trick us into spending a lot of time, denying that Obama is a Socialist.
This whole thread is an attempt to derail the topics that deserve to be discussed.-

Goppy is correct. This freaking Wall Street Bailout and the Kitchen Sink bill IS closely akin to Socialism. It's wrong, and that's probably why the MAJORITY of citizens opposed it. Congress went ahead and did it anyone. I have already advised my reps (Dems and Repubs alike) that as far as I am concerned, they are FIRED come November 4. BUT - I'm confident that anyone who thinks Barry Obama would be an IMPROVEMENT is horribly mistaken. And I'm not so sure about John McCain either. Seriously, we NEED to start voting in independents. A lot of them.
