Comments for CNN: ACORN fraud and ties to Obama »

Drew Griffin had better watch out.  If he continues reporting on Barack Obama like this, pretty soon the Obama campaign will target him as an extremist and a hate-monger .  Griffin tells Campbell Brown on CNN how ACORN commits voter fraud, and then explains how Obama is closely tied to the group:

        ACORN follows Saul Alinsky’s teachings to a tee. In Rules for Radicals (which was dedicated to Lucifer), Alinsky wrote “the morality of means depends on whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.” ACORN voter registration fraud is just shy of becoming epidemic. ACORN employees are facing investigation, indictment or prison time for voter fraud in at least a dozen states. During the Democrat primary, the Obama campaign paid Citizen Services Inc., a subsidiary of ACORN, more than $800,000.

        The Obama/ACORN ties are popping up everywhere

        Obama camp downplays payments to ACORN
        Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama's campaign distanced itself Thursday from its $800,000 payment linked to the liberal ACORN organization, which is under investigation in several states where it is suspected of filing fraudulent voter registrations.

          All this cr*p is NOT "voter fraud" - it is data collected from people who REGISTERED TO VOTE that is questionable. If the data is invalid, they will NEVER GET REGISTERED and thus will NEVER vote!!

          OF COURSE people are going to submit invalid registration cards - the people FILLING OUT THE FORMS are doing that, NOT ACORN themselves.

          There is no evidences of a crime -- it is only a fishing expedition based on complaints from the RNC.

          NOTE this: ACORN authenticates every registration form their workers submit and BY LAW they must turn in every form to election officials, even if they find registrations to be fraudulent or are otherwise suspect or incomplete. They flag ALL questionable registration forms as being suspect before turning them in to officials.

          Thus, it was ACORN themselves who notified officials about the potentially fraudulent and/or incomplete forms in the first place!

          The thanks that ACORN gets for OBEYING THE LAW and notifying officials about questionable registration forms when they turn them in is that the GOP runs to the media shouting, "ACORN is committing voter fraud! They've turned in hundreds and thousands of fraudulent registration forms!"

            "All this cr*p is NOT "voter fraud" - it is data collected from people who REGISTERED TO VOTE that is questionable"

            That would be true in most states but not Ohio
            Ohio had a "golden week" Sept 30 - Oct 6
            You could register AND vote on the same day
            http://www.votetodayohio.blogspot.com/

            And a Federal judge has ruled that te Ohio Secretary of State violated Federal election laws
            Ohio secretary of state must verify registrations
            A federal judge on Thursday ordered Ohio's top elections official to verify the identity of newly registered voters by matching them with other government documents.

            U.S. District Judge George C. Smith in Columbus ruled that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must perform verification required by the Help America Vote Act.

            The ruling from U.S. District Court Judge George C. Smith called the identification breakdown “a serious problem” and ordered Brunner to immediately comply with federal requirements to match voter registration data with the information in the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Social Security Administration databases. The court accused Brunner of failing to provide county election administrators with “an effective way to access and review mismatches.”

            Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner immediately appealed the ruling.

              this whole thing smells like Karl Rove. right out of his dirty tricks department.

              why would the dems and Obama try to falsely register 2500 fake voters in one small county when there's absolutely no reason to do that? especially since Obama is winning right now, his lead is widening, and he doesn't need to cheat.

              what's the supposed plan of the dems here, to hire 2500 fake voters to vote for Obama? thats a pretty stupid plan since they'd have to enlist 2500 people to pull it off on election day, and then you'd have a HUGE conspiracy on your hands afterwards.

              and if that was the dems plan, why would they execute it so poorly and in such a manner that was sure to get them caught?

              something is very fishy here.

              the cons actually have a better reason to pull this stunt.

              it would be in their best interest to sign up fraudulent voters in an attempt to discredit and nullify all 1.3 million voters who registered through Acorn. plus, by targeting Acorn, it would make Obama look bad by using guilt by association, even though Obama hasn't used Acorn as a resource for the general election.

              and the m.o. at work here is classic Rove. muddy up the waters, make it so you can't tell what really happened, get your constituency to make blind accusations even though logically it would be rather stupid and out of character for Obama to try and pull such a stunt when he's ahead and his lead is getting bigger, not smaller.

              you don't falsely register voters and possibly commit fraud when you're winning. no one is that stupid.

              it just doesn't add up. this whole thing just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

                  so you honestly think Obama and the dems are dumb enough to try and attempt voter fraud on such a massive scale of size and incompetence while they're actually ahead and have no need to try and pull such a stunt?

                  then you tell me, why would Obama attempt such stupidity when he's winning and his lead is growing?

                  there's simply no logical reason for Obama to try and cheat when he obviously doesn't have to.

                  and the fact that Obama worked for them in the 90s makes it and even juicier target for Rove.

                  and what? this doesn't stink like Karl Rove?

                  really, who's in denial here.

                      wow. all you can come up with is "the polls are flawed" for why Obama's kicking McCain's arse, and the dems are doing this because "they are Dems aren't they"?

                      sounds like some really solid arguements you've got there.

                      the logic simply doesn't add up. you totally believe this story and you can't even make it add up.

                      face it, the cons perceive this as their "in" to attacking Obama. that's what this is. that's all this is.

                      but it won't work. America's committed to changing course while McCain and the republicans are not. thats the right's problem in a nutshell: they are out of touch.

                      that's the big problem for you guys. not Obama or his ties to any group.

                      and btw, that $800,000 was for services during the primary. Obama hasn't enlisted acorn's services for anything in the general election.

                      OH, AND...

                      the Alaska legislative panel just came back with thier findings late this afternoon, and it looks like Sarah Palin did indeed abuse her power.

                      so, acorn or not., true or not, this ruling pretty much killed the GOPs chances.

                          It's not voter fraud unless one person uses fake id's to vote multiple times. Turning in invalid voter cards makes no sense at all. They still have to be verified and you still have to show id or some kind of proof of who you are to vote. This is much to do about nothing. Nothing will materialize from these so called 'investigations'. Authorities are merely checking out complaints made by...well guess who?..the RNC.

                      You do know that pc25 and the rest of his posse are not going to like you changing the subject to Miss "I'm the most ethical person in the world" Palin. It has taken them almost two weeks to get this ACORN story started and here you come with this embarrassing stuff. Shame on you Tcaros.

                      The Palin stuff petty, bullsheet and politics, all the way. It in no way compares to the strange and weird stuff in your man Barack's background and we're finally learning more about him everyday. Maybe Tony Rezko will tell us more.

                        Petty,bullsheet and politics. I could not agree more. So why don't we start discussing the subjects people are really concerned about. Will they still have a job in six months. Will they be able to avoid foreclosure on their home, will they be able to afford one. How do we create new jobs in a new economy. How do we pull back our foreign commitments to something more manageable. How do we restructure the financial system so this crisis won't occur again. These are some of the things the country wants to hear about, not some damn 'juicy gossip' about who knew who when. I would think the backlash you cons are getting from these swift boat attacks would tell you something.

                          amazing that Obama doesn't brag about his "leadership" experience those 4 years at the Annenberg Foundation project.

                          I'm wondering what is going on with PROPELLER. As I leave the post, this article has a rating of 5.3. with stats of:
                          ===================
                          Read: 203 Propped: 20 Comments: 30.

                          When I go to "TOP STORIES" from the link in "What's Hot on Propeller", this story doesn't show up in the 5.3 spot.

                          Instead, in the 5.3 spot, this is the article titles that shows up:
                          ======================
                          "Palin-championed 'aerial hunting' program executed 14 wolf pups"

                          It's stats are:
                          ===============
                          Read: 101 Propped: 31 Comments: 19

                          And the article below that is titled:
                          ==================================
                          "Obama's Rezko-Ayers-Wright Problem"

                          And has a rating of 5.1 with stats of:
                          ================
                          Read: 175 Propped: 24 Comments: 23

                          Am I mistaken thinking that this should also be showing in the "TOP STORIES" here on Propeller?

                          I know that "TOP STORIES" has other ratings that have multiple articles for the same rating.

                          For example, right now there are 10 articles with a 5.0 rating. They are titled:
                          ===================================
                          "Woman Admits Lacing Cake With Marijuana"
                          "McCain's Trying to Clean Up Palin's Mess!"
                          "LiveLeak.com - Financial crisis political cartoon montage"
                          "Rick Davis Hurts McCain on the Economy Again"
                          "Protesting nuns branded terrorists"
                          "Talk Radio Hosts: Magic Faked AIDS"
                          "Obama ACORN: Democratic Ohio Elections Official Blasts Judge's Order To Purge Fraudulent Voters"
                          "Illusion Art by Vitali Zelinski"
                          'Homeless Man Dies After Being Set On Fire"
                          "105-year-old virgin celebrates birthday"

                          What's going on? Anyone know why this doesn't show up there or should I just draw my own conclusions?

                          Thanks in advance if anyone can tell me why this isn't showing up in "TOP STORIES".

                            There are one or two of the propeller staff who have a certain bias.
