The owner of Paul Mitchell haircare products used to belong to a gang noted for murder and drug dealing, the Hell's Angels... this year PM will do 700 million... nobody cares.
Reply
Some of PETA members have been sent to jail for terrorism... nobody cares.
Ayres, a collage professor, 40 years ago belonged to the Weathermen... just a few care about that, or is that an excuse to try and keep a black man from being president.-

While I understand the article is in fact humor....

Trying to connect Obama to what is essentially a white militant group existed when he was a ten-year old to when he was a teenager is ridiculous.
Further, that the white militants were strongly anti-war, and bombed government offices, and had planned to bomb officers' dances, doesn't lessen it, but really, this kind of thing really does have a "romantic" appeal to many of the "baby boomers" as well as a HUGE cadre of "throwback wannabees".
Seriously, just considering the past few weeks, if not seven-plus years., who DOESN'T dream of bombing government buildings and personnel, especially by name.
Why doesn't McCain and Palin just tie Obama in with the Weathermen, the Black Panthers, the SLA, Ginsburg and the beat poets, the Beatles (after Rubber Soul) and the Rolling Stones at Altamont. Seriously, if they're TRYING to get him elected... -

For those who do not know and never witnessed the damage of the "Weathermen" perhaps you should read your history, or visit the graves of those innocents killed by these cowards. If you condone it you have a serious problem. Unfortunately I do remember as vividly as 9/11.

On CNN it was discussed that a Weatherman, turned historian, states that Ayres recollection of Weatherman's actions in his book are somewhat suspect.
Reply
Ayres spent 10 days in jail for disorderly conduct from a draft protest. Not much of a terrorist that can't get the facts right.
Chrissie Hinde of The Pretenders on national TV claimed to have been the one that fire bombed the Kent State ROTC.
I have my doubts that Ayres, from a very well to do family, had not one but two girlfriends killed in separate incidents while making bombs.
He writes a book about his adventures and has real Weathermen saying that his facts are wrong!!!
I doubt that Chrissie, seeking street cred, had anything to do with the bombing. -

Well ind06, I think it was important for Obama to be aware of the coming weather changes.
Reply
I mean he keeps speaking of change. Now he can say "have you seen the change in the weather since I started running, much more pleasant than when Bush was running." LOL -

True, the happy faces could be some kind of NeoCon Commie plot endorsed by the Limo-Libs to corrupt the minds of young Americans via nefarious subliminal messages about the postive effects of humor on the mental and physical health of an individual.

Damn that 'happiness'; it totally ruins a bad day.-

Why are you people even bothering to vote? Changing the faces without effectively changing the system will not stop the fascism that has developed in this country. Neither Mccain or Obama is worthy of sitting in the white house. They will not lead this nation, they will continue to mislead it into tyranny. If we don't revolt against this fake government, rid ourselves of the Federal Reserve (that got us into this economic crisis along with their Corporate monkeys), we will live to see the worst that any American has ever experienced. The New World Order is carrying out their agenda. They have and are committing economic demolition to consolidate their power to further their plans for global dominance and then the elimination of 80 to 90% of the world population (the useless eaters). They've stolen all the wealth, confiscated all the viable land, control every government and now they're destroying the one Republic that could thwart their plan, and all because we refuse to wake up to the truth (to set us free) of their wickedmness. Google quotes by Rockefellar and James Malthus on population reduction. Get your damn faces out of your LCD screens and read books. WAKE UP!

You do realize this humor right ??????????
Needed when the freaking world is imploding because of the extreme greed, and stupidity that is being foisted upon the working class people.
We know about the evil, still sometimes one has to laugh or one becomes what one hates. A bitter hate filled, rhetoric spouting, self righteous know it all.
Who misses the joy in life for all he sees' is the trouble.
I'm quite sure most people know of the sorrows, is it to much to ask for a break and a laugh once in a while.
Wake up !!!!!!!!!!! -

While I do commiserate with you , rick, I feel the last thing we need to do is stop looking at our LCD screens, because that's where we will EVER find the closest thing to an independent and free media/press.

But, I believe the second amendment also provides us with the right to justified insurrection, that which may not be under the rules of current law, pertaining to a tyrannical government, because as agents of treason, they are already subject to the most extreme of punishments.

Palin looked out her window and instantly the climate in Russia fell to below zero, while Putin's face froze by the window (and remains there for eternity). At the same time, the climate in Iran & Iraq changes, all the oil flows out. Bush/Cheney/McCain/Palin, the Saudi Monarchy and the Sheikhs in Dubai make conference calls with each other and are in panic mode wanting to keep this a secret and the oil profits to themselfes...while Al Gore shouts:"Global Warming!" Newspapers carry the story throughout the world, and gas hits $1 per gallon. (I need to have a happy ending).

Oil was under $80 a barrel last I checked. Maybe we'll see $1 a gallon gas sooner than we think. It's called an economic meltdown... seems the politicians think injecting $700B in borrowed money into the economy would fix everything. Sure, it's that easy!

I guess if I was running for President and during the Town Hall style debate where I was suppose to excel above the other candidate but instead came off as a doddering old man and I didn't have any real plan for the economy I'd be screaming about a relationship between the other candidate and an America terrorist too.

... well,i guess i have to speak up honestly, frankly,& glasnostly as a concerned citizen(albeit a Canadian one)about certain privileged knowledge and hearsay gleaned at local pubs, etc[we all know Canadian beer is stronger]regarding Barak Obama's fixation with the Weather Network... it sadly[purportedly]has its underpinnings in a little spoken about fling with Mrs. Claus{Klaus, for you Germans},a prerequisite for said trysts being that the boob tube had to be tuned to[you guessed it]the Weather Network... seems Frau Klaus has an obsession with weather[or not],but a view was put forward about a concern over Rudolf really being needed for the Xmas run, which may be taking things out there a bit; although speculation that the elves may have been watching too takes it a bit over the top,and would be lower,it seems, than campaigning would be able to reach, but nevertheless,i report it faithfully here for inquiring minds that have a right to know...

AFTER ALL... an ill nurtured inquiring mind is a terrible waste... the American Public has an entrenched right to be apprised of all the gossip and hearsay that is the vaudeville of Free Press... -

Palin ought to be more concerned with cleaning HER own house, rather than attempting to find "dirt" in someone else's. She and her attempts to muddy Senator Obama are killing her running mate cold. She questions him on Michigan and who know's what else. She is an ego maniac who is VERY DANGEROUS for America. We've had enough of leaders who bend and twist the rules and laws of our country for personal reasons and power lust. I am not a McCain supporter, I have already placed my vote for Senator Obama. McCain, ruined his chance ( if indeed) he ever had one, as soon as he choose this person as his running mate. Check mate, game over. Wake up, stand up, vote Obama '08

Donald Rusmfeld shook hands with Saddam Hussein. Donald Rumsfeld must see America as imperfect enough to hang around with terrorist supporting, totalitarian, dictators who threaten world peace and security. Donald Rumsfeld why do you hate America and promote Islamic extremism? Bush had a terrorist supporting defense secretary. Bush, why do you love terrorist and hate America so much? This is Republican logic.
