My father, who had been sick for some time, had passed away last Friday and I wrote this poem with him in mind. He was eighty-five.

SC ... I am SO sorry to hear about your father. I can relate ....

My mother had been in-and-out of the hospital all year this year. She passed away on September 6 after complications from pneumonia - she was 86.

It is hard to loose someone you love, no matter how long they are with you. I am confident that we will see our parents again one day in a place where all of our troubles and worries are left behind.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Moms and Dads are hard to lose. Because they are our beginning and they are always part of what we will be.

My Dad died in '89 and it is still hard. Because we can't reach out and hug them and thank them for all that they did, and all we have become. We can't tell them we love them face to face or on the phone.

Seems like life is moving so fast now.
My mom is in her 80's and is not in the best health. So I do what I can to make her time left full and let her know she is still loved and wanted.

Again my condolences on your loss.

Yes...sorry to hear about your wife's mother. My wife's parents are still both alive, but the age related illnesses are beginning to take their toll too. We ARE losing the greatest generation day by day. We will remember them in many special ways.
