    Where is the copy of the letter that Obama allegedly wrote. McCains and others were there including signatures.

    Who did McCain write to? Majority leader.

    Who did Obama write a letter to? Those outside congress.

    Who makes the laws and regulations? Congress.

    Republicans tried to put the brakes on in 2003, 2005, and 2006.

    Obama wrote a letter in 2007.

    The housing price bubble was going up and peaking about 2006.

    Republicans were ahead of the curve and at the peak.

    Obama was after the bubble burst and too late. Look at the graph of housing prices.

      That's pretty funny. Are you suggesting that the party who had clear majority in both houses put on the brakes? Please provide some evidence. I'm going to assume that you can't because republicans did not support any effort to further regulate the financial market, especially during the boom period.
