'trig' is also an adjective, meaning clever and precise

Like nicknaming a 'weight-challenged' person 'tiny' or 'slim'

  Alaska is made up of a good number of people of Norwegian heritage. The name "Trigg" is Norwegian and means "true". So, what is insensitve about "true"?

    they have these handy things called dictionaries...I'm not surprised Palin was unaware of the meaning on her son's name-IN ENGLISH-the language she speaks
    
    would you find naming a kid born without a right hand [like the famous pitcher Jim Abbott] 'Handy' ironic and clever, or just cruel and in bad taste?
