They were more than governors. They were educated governors with strong backgrounds;

Carter: Attended GA Tech & SW University. Attended the US Naval academy, finishing 59th out of a class of 850. Served 6 years in the Pacific and Atlantic Fleets. Served two terms in the GA Senate.
Clinton: Attended Georgetown University & received a degree in Foreign Service. Wom a Rhodes Scholarship, & attended University College in Oxford where he studied government. After Oxford, received a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) in law from Yale University. Served as a professor at the University of Arkansas. Served as the Attorney General of Arkansas.
What does Palin's background offer? Several colleges where she dropped out after one semester in one of them, and after two semesters in another. After several more, she ended up with a BS degree in journalism. Entered beauty pageants. Served as a mayor or on the board of supervisors in tiny towns where her biggest decision would be where to put the newest Wal Mart. She has NO mandate for high public office.
