Gov. Sarah Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions that Are Flatly False »

Posted By VotersUnite 1 year, 1 month ago in News

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin' s reaction to the Troopergate ethics investigative report released on Friday, October 11, 2008 by the Alaska Legislature.  Seems she has an entirely different take on the findings of the bipartisan legislative body who concluded that Gov. Palin' s conduct “ violated AS 39.52.110(a) of the Ethics Act…”   But, according to Gov. Palin, she is “ very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing … any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that.”   Just what ethics report did Governor Sarah Palin read to come up with that spin?

Palin should be a horrible embarassment to John McCain, she certainly is to those of us who trusted him to pick a credible vice-presidential candidate. This is the latest issue in a long line of issues, that has me questioning his judgement in his choice. I am no wondering if he really is the best choice for president.

McCain's "OL' GEEZER EXPRESS" has run out of straight-talk and the wheels are falling off:

MCCAIN HAS AN ABUSIVE TEMPER AND PALIN ABUSES POWER.

PALIN IS BUSTED. SHE IS CONFIRMED AS HAVING ABUSED PERSONAL POWER IN HER GOVERNOR'S OFFICE. VIOLATED ETHICS. PERIOD. WHAT PART OF THIS DON'T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND?

The finding of Palin's guilt in abuse of executive power speaks worlds about John McCain's lack of judgment. But of course he admitted he had only met her personally ONE TIME before he selected her--was it with the other Joe Six-Pack's at a bar, and he decided to take her with him? Who knows, there are not even any pictures of him meeting with her before he selected the LUV GUV!

She's no longer a pitbull, but has to go back to being a sleddog ---....As the ol' song says: You go North to Alaska, you go North perhaps you know, ....way up North....North to Alaska.... -- RIGHT NOW PLEASE!

No longer a pitbull, but looking like a weasel--a little ol' mavericky weasel-you betcha!

It'll be a lot more painless when we become Mccainless...

Let's put Obama and Biden to work for all America, and let's do it now!!

If she's been found to be guilty of an ethics violation now... what would she bring to the White House? She's lied before. She'll lie again. Knowing all this in advance doesn't seem to deter her followers. I find it so hard to fathom that there are that many stupid, ignorant people in this country. I grew up knowing right from wrong. Where did all these people grow up?

        Listen to the liberals rant.

The trooper in question did according to the state troopers threaten to kill Palins father, taser his step child so he could feel what it felt like, drank on the job, and hunted moose without a license on the job.

For that he was given a 5 day suspension.

What would you do if a law officer threatened to kill your father?

Then the report contains such damning things as "was likely a contributing factor" and "engaged in ‘official action’ by her inaction". They didn't know the reason but they guess. Her inaction could be cause by such a thing as lack of knowledge but that was not mentioned.

So the liberals are left with a bunch of gobbledegook that has nothing concrete but trying to read her mind.

Listen to them yell how hateful she is.

        Foolish libs.

Sarah Palin you violated Alaska ethics act 39.52.11(a). Why are you still saying you are innocent? Stop lying to yourself and the American People...Do you think we are dumb?
Why didn't you go testify during the investigation? Why, because you were going to be UNDER OATH? Maybe that is the reason. You didn't had something to hide and you didn't want to be under oath.
How many ethic codes are you going to violate if elected VP?
We do not need three gun totting mavericks (Sarah, Todd & John) in the White House..
We need new leadership with new ideas...not old school backwoods ideology...
Help McCain and resign your VP candidacy..Put your country first for once....Please

"But, according to Gov. Palin, she is “ very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing "

That is 100% correct, " .. cleared of any legal wrongdoing". She didn't commit a crime, therefore no legal wrongdoing. And she didn't refuse to testify. Instead she made the correct call by insisting that the correct investigative body is the "Personnel Board" and that she and her husband will in fact cooperate with that board's inquiry at the end of this month. Not only that but the taxpayers of Alaska had to foot the bill for the obvious witchhunt - partisan BS, nothing to do with Dem or Repubs, personal vendetta is more like it.

You know ... it's one thing to be FOR your candidate and AGAINST another's candidate but when you spread all the lies and hate filled "out of context" mish mash of selected diatribe to suit your own agenda, then you're doing more harm than good because the readers get to know who you are and simply dismiss the posts/replies, etc. and have a very strong tendency to vote for the "other" guy.

Palin is all of the power-hungry, abusive, an unethical `Hillary` that the cons have been so fearful of for the last twenty years.

With a bit of spring-break Monday-to-Saturday hypocritical religious nutto thrown in for good measure.

Sarah Palin you violated Alaska ethic code 39.52.11(a). Why are you still saying you are innocent and relieved? Why are you still lying? You were found to be in violation and abuse of power. Using your position to settle a family dispute. Allowing Todd to much power and access to your advisors.
Why if you were innocent, Why didn't you testify? Why, because you were going to be under OATH. Under oath you would have had to tell the truth..Stop lying and tell the truth you violated Alaskan Ethic code. How many ethic codes are you going to violate if elected to the White House?
America we do not need three mavericks (John,Sarah,& Todd) in
the White House. Do you really want Todd Palin behind the Sarah advising her on national matters? Don't you see what he did in Alaska was wrong. He overstepped his duties and set out to settle the score (family matters).
Sarah do John McCain a favor and submit your resignation..If not do it for our country...for once put Country First.
America we need new leadership in the White House, not 3 mavericks running wild....this is not the backwoods of Alaska. Our country deserves better....Please. Help me spread the word. It was even on National News...Sarah was found to have violated ethic code 39.52.11(a). She is not innocent..
Sarah wake up and tell the truth. God Help this great country of ours...

Ms Palin is eitgher the biggest liar in presidential Election history, or the most stupid one. What does she understand by the charge from the Bi-Partisan commission thast found her undeiably guilty of breaking the ethics committe rules, She is charged with using her position in office to try and get her former brother in law fired from the Alaska State Troopers. She has not been exonerated, but found guilty of these charges. No amount of denial is going to sweep this away now that she further incriminated herself by claiming she has been cleared. Someone in the Republican Committee should tell John McCain to drop her now.

I am not surprised. Gov. Palin's described herself as a pit bull an animal that by nature is aggressive and many times attacks suddenly and ferociously. The facts speak for themselves and no amount of spin will change the facts. But she is well qualified vice-presidential candidate with energy and foreign policy expertise that K. Couric(liberal media) ambushed and made a fool of just before she won her debate.

I hate to bring all of you people who want to pick apart everything this lady says, but in this case she is correct. On Sunday news yeasterday they talked with two lawyers and a judge who said that they felt the hearing was wrong on the ethic issue. It was their opinion that the Govenor had handle it OK as their was no personal gain or monetary gain. They said that personall gain means by governmental statndards, she would have to do something that would gain her a higher position or job, which in this case she already has the highest job in Alaska. They said monetary speaks for itself. These people also said the fact that the panel had no clear insite on how Palin could have handled it any diffently, which is a clue they had no better means of handling the situation themselves is a good indicator.

It's called the Big Lie. Mr. Orwell had something to say about it, if I recall correctly.

Here's how it works: you declare the truth to be what you want it to be and then you keep repeating your lie.

                  And many people believe you.

I'm not concerned about Obama being a muslem, I'm concerned however if he's lying about it. I've really tried to look at both canidates fairly. This is an important election, the country and even the world right now is a mess! There arn't enough resources to go around with the rapid growth of China and India. So throw out this Rep -vs- Dem crap and focus on what we know about these two and what they are saying about helping the economic crisis, protecting us from terrorist and foreign threats, and becoming energy efficeint and independant. I hate to even say who I'm for because immediately people will ignore whatever I've said but honestly ask yourself which one of these men's agendas truly beyond any doubt has the country's best intrests at heart?

What in heaven's name would make you believe that Obama was or is a Muslim, other than the efforts of right-wingers who would claim he was a child-molester if they thought the smear "had traction."
