    Monegan was in an appointed position, therefore, he could be fired for any reason, bad breath, flatulence, etc....end of story. He needed his a** fired.
    Political, simply political.

      Funny, no one is debating that. However, since you have not read the report or anything about the report I will summarize.

      Like Bush`s firing of the AGs for political reasons, Palin had every legal right to fire Monegan. However, she fired him for unethical reasons and not performance reasons. She and her husband also acted in very unethical manners.

      As Governor, when she was sworn in she took an oath to abide by the rules and laws. The Republican dominated commission investigated and found Palin broke the ethical rules.

      Plz feel free to try to explain why a Republican dominated commission would do a Starr-esque witch hunt on a fellow Republican.

      Her behavior was simply an abuse of power.
