nice try, so how would you control animal populations. I think we could agree that they need to be managed. How would you deal with the cougar problem in the west. The elk population is being reduced drastically by cats, wolves and coyotes. The argument that they only eat the old and sick is wrong. Just for the record snaring is inhumane.

How is it that the elk population made it before man came along to the West? (Other than native Americans, of course). What? There were no predators then? No mountain lions, no wolves, no coyotes? They just magically came on the scene and started decreasing the elk population just recently? Doesn't have a thing to do with 'man', right?

Some people regard animals as "things" that are lesser than human and therefore ok to abuse.

It's wrong, immorale and ultimately corrupting in that it nurtures an unhealthy disrespect for ALL living creatures including humans.
I'm not saying I have all the answers but ruthlessly killing "pests" or "rogue" animals should be diligently enforced and as far as I'm concerned, harshly enforced. -
