We already have socialized roads and highways. We have socialized sewers, water and garbage pickup. We have socialized schools. We have socialized police, fire protection, military, and prosecutors. We have socialized air traffic control and national parks. We have socialized banking (as of today). We have socialized radio/tv spectrum… The list goes on and on.

Whether you like it or not, and you use any of these things above, you are already a socialist.
You can always send back your social security to show you aren't a socialist. Let us know how many times you sent the check back to the US government. OH, and don't forget to withdraw from Medicare.-

Sewers, water , garbage pick up, parks. etc. All BS
I will take my Social Security because I have been FORCED to pay my money into it for 40 years. I am owed much more than I will get from it. The same with medicare. I payed for it UNWILLINGLY so I will take what I can get in return.
I would much rather that the Government let's me spend my money as I see fit and give me choices instead of taking my money for bad programs.
Now Obama wants Government to run Health Care and take more of my money to pay for bigger Government.

Highways are paid for with federal taxes, or they used to be.
If you object to benefits obtained by socialism, then you shouldn't use any of these things. did you go to public school? Maybe you went to public college?

The point where you lose rationality is when you claim the Repubs are going to let you you spend your own money. The tax break you will not get from them(unless you make more than $100,000 as an individual or 250k as a family) will instead go to corporations making billions in profits and wealthy individuals. The FACT is that trickle down economics is a scam on the proletariat. The very same scam as perpetrated by "preachers" like Paula White and Creflo Dollar. Give me your money and you will be rewarded multiple times over. It's a farce! The only one getting rich is the one collecting the money. Then the human equation with the key denominator of GREED kicks in. Your odds of a substantial return are much better buying a Powerball ticket.

And the reason you will not get your full benefit is that the SS Surplus was raped for decades by both parties to pay for off-budget items (see i.e. Vietnam War). There is nothing inherently wrong with that entitlement that occured for any other reason than theft. You will likely need Medicare. You gripe about it now but someday you will need this. Let's have no services, no taxes, and see how long this country survives. -

Without the commons we have no society. All we have is a bunch of individuals fending for themselves. And many of those red states best prepare to become third world country's, cause the blue states won't be subsidizing them any more!
