      The mess is because those lenders were not pure at heart, they knew that ARM can become a time bomb. Its not the mortgage agents but it is the big managers of the lending financial institutions.

      There are only two reasons to get an ARM. One is that you are only going to be in the house less than the term of the ARM OR you are getting a house with the foreknowledge that you are going to get a fixed rate mortgage before the ARM adjusts.

      Do NOT get an ARM for any other reason.
