Posted By OMartinez 8 months, 3 weeks ago in Health & FitnessLegal Marijuana is a topic being discussed throughout the world and will actually be voted on by the UN in 2009. The rationalization is that regulation will allow control of the strength of the THC and the decriminalization will have a positive social impact. Ten out of fifty states in the US have passed Medical Marijuana Laws and more states will be voting on similar laws in the coming months. These laws are only symbolic at this point because the federal government still has laws forbidding the use, possession and cultivation of Marijuana in the US. If the federal law changes these states are ready, at lest as far as the law is concerned to start distributing marijuana.

The fact alone that the Federal Government has such power over the states speaks volumes about where this country is today. Big Brother has no business telling me what I can or can't do in my own bedroom. The ONLY exception here would be in situation's of abuse on another individual. So long as I'm not infringing on anyone else's rights, leave me the heck alone! Privacy is paramount... especially in my own home!

Big Brother won't legalize pot because they are in the back pocket$ of the alcoholic industrie$ that have a lot to lo$e if marijuana is legalized.

I agree with Uphold because if medical marijuana is already legalized in most states, why not legalize the possession of marijuana as a whole? What is stopping the government from making this simple decision?
