I would like to think that McCain would lose this election on his own,"merits", but adding a dimwit to the ticket sure won't hurt.

Picking Palin sure says something about his judgment (or absolute lack thereof).

Letting her ramble on so long with her Palinopsia in clear view shows even more about McCain's poor judgment. I think we all owe Sarah Palin a great debt of gratitude for showing what a McCain presidency would be like.

Look at her list of lies repeated over and over. "I told Congress thanks but no thanks for that bridge to nowhere." "Obama pals around with terrorists." "Obama voted 94 times to raise taxes." "Even on middle class every day working Americans making $42,000 a year, he voted to raise those taxes." And the list just goes on and on.

The most troublesome thing is that Tod Palin and his "contractor friends" built their new luxury home in Wasilla at exactly the same time that Sarah's new $14.7 million sports complex went up. One of the leading contractors on that project was the same guy who did much of the free work on Senator Ted Steven's home. No proof of any wrongdoing -- yet. And since building permits are not required in Alaska and records are slim to none, it may be tough to prove anything. But does it pass the smell test?

He would have had a far greater chance of winning had he picked Pawlenty. It is hard to even imagine he had a lot of say in choosing his running mate. I'm sure it was all based on opinion polls and strategic positioning from his advisors. He should grow a pair and ditch her. It isn't too late... well timewise not too late...but perhaps politically too late. He should save some face and get a real human as a running mate.
