You are so blind to An Obama-Nation and what he has in mind for the good ol' USA.

How about a 60% death tax! Forget leaving a legacy to your loved ones when you die!
How about a 28% capital gains tax if you get to sell your home instead of losing it because of the fannie or freddie mess that was started by the demos.
What about that Socialistic USA Agenda that Obama want to bring upon the backs of that hard working middle class!
What about his radical, past with Ayers and ALCORN... or does being a traitor to your own country not count anymore!!
I would prefer to have my grandmother run these United States Of America with Palin covering her backside, than to turn our Capitalistic government over to the likes of Obama and his Socialistic Agenda!!! Why don't you bother to research his associations!! You can't expect to get a different agenda out of a candidate who has still not separated himself from those radical associations! READ for yourself!! And then take a REAL look at who has served his country!! Who wants what is best for the middle class! It is Mcain....NOT Obama!!-

Do you realize that the estate tax doesn't even kick in unless the taxable estate (after various deductions) exceeds $2,000,000 (set to increase to 3,500,000 in 2009)?

There are, in addition, all manner of methods for transfering one's wealth to your descendants prior to your death that completely avoid taxation. You can give up to $12,000/yr. ($24,000 if married) to as many people as you want without ever filing a return!!
Less than 1% of estates pay any tax at all, only the estates of the most wealthy and they, on average, pay less than 20%.

28% capital gains taxes, OH NO!
I guess you are also not aware that the top rate is already at 25% and, as with estate taxes, is only paid by the most wealthy. All Obama has recommended is restoring this rate to the 28% is was before Bush got them reduced. Moreover it doesn't even apply to most home sales because the first $500,000 in gain is excluded from income when a couple sells their primary residence.
SOCIALISM!, Oh My! I thought red-baiting died in the McCarthy era.
You really need to quit your silly fear-mongering and get educated. -

"Republicans theorized that raising the rate of home ownership would create more conservative voters, as Margaret Thatcher was said to have done in Britain by selling public housing flats to their tenants. Thus, George W. Bush campaigned in 2004 under the rubric ”the ownership society.” As the President explained in his eye-glazing prose style:
Reply
...[I]f you own something, you have a vital stake in the future of our country. The more ownership there is in America, the more vitality there is in America, and the more people have a vital stake in the future of this country.
Thus, in a 2004 address to home builders, Bush called for the Federal Housing Administration to issue zero down payment mortgages in order to aid 150,000 first-time buyers per year, saying,
To build an ownership society, we’ll help even more Americans to buy homes. Some families are more than able to pay a mortgage but just don’t have the savings to put money down.
" end of quote.

The majority of Americans don't have enough capital to concern themselves with capital gains tax The wealthy should concern themselves less with leaving a legacy and more about doing what is right while they are alive. America is a society where we are all dependent on one another for achieving success. It isn't all about you. Who do you have to thank for your success? Define socialism? -

How can a person who spent his life in community action and politics be a traitor?
Reply
You are confused about the defintions of traitor and radical. A traitor does not have the interest of the country in mind. Radicals are the force behind change in America. They deliberatley create controversary to bring about change . Radicals are on both the far right and far left.. They are very much aware they are a minority and will not influence the majority but they get everyone talking about the issues, which is what they try to do in the first place.
Giving women the right to vote was considered a radical idea when it was proposed. Look how far we have advanced.
