Gas prices fall 33 cents in largest weekly price drop ever »

The new pump price beat the old record decline of 16.9 cents a gallon which occurred during the week of the Sept. 12, 2005, when fuel costs fell after the government announced it would release millions of barrels of emergency crude oil to help replace petroleum supplies disrupted by Hurricane Katrina.

    Yeah, I noticed the big drop.

    The analogy that comes to mind is one of golf. In golf, one sometimes gets to hit some very good shots. The problem is that too often these come after very bad ones. That's sort of a parallel to this price drop. If we had an effective energy progam to begin with, prices might not have risen so high that this major drop was possible.

      It just goes to show how We the People of this country have had our pockets taken for a ride.
