In an interview with the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Nguyen Tien Tran acknowledged that conditions in the prison were "tough, though not inhuman". But, he added: "We never tortured McCain. On the contrary, we saved his life, curing him with extremely valuable medicines that at times were not available to our own wounded."-

Engineer - I hate to say it, but you're counting on the word of a former torturer and prison camp guard. Not exactly reliable. Perhaps if McCain would release his records instead of hiding them intentionally we'd know what really happened.

That said, you *can* post as loudly as you want that according to George Bush and the current administration McCain wasn't tortured. Despite the likelyhood being that he was tortured. -

Like them, I don't think a torturer's word is worth anything.
It is good to show rabid anything-bad -about-Obama- is-true peoplewhat objectivity is about.
We can oppose McCain, without believing everything bad said about him; particularly stuff pulled together by Rove agents back in 2000. -
