Comments for According to Michelle Obama, the fix is already in »
Posted By RedRiverJ 1 year, 1 month ago in News“When API told her that our online news media was only replaying what the American Bloggers and other media outlets had discovered through their investigations, Mrs. Obama was angered and she came out loud with the following: “African Press International is supposed to support Africans and (the) African-American view, and she went (on) to state that, “It is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband.” (africanpress, Oct. 15, 2008). “There is no shame in being adopted by a step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband’s face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband’s adoption by his step father, The important thing here is where my husband’s heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that my husband loves this country and his adoption has never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner, (emphasis added) says Michelle Obama on telefon (sic) to API.”

There is no greater praise of Ms. Obama,
Reply
than that those who would depict her as angry,
have to make the words up.
Whether it is this thread's fraudulent interview,
or the famous 'whity rant tape',
they describe someone enraged; partisan;
someone full of hate as a snake with venom.
They describe themselves, not Obama's kindly wife.
But I for one do not want to look in their closets.
Some sights are just too hard on the soul.

Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. Racism knows no color. There are White racist,Black racist,Brown racist, ECT. Ah my are the neocons getting desperate! More trash from Jerome Corsi dressed up in whinging. Tell us Red. Are you just ignorant or do you lie to Americans ojn purpose?
Reply
Jihad fantasies of Obama, Dick Morris and Kenya
They say nobody reads books anymore. But Dr. Jerome Corsi, the man of right-wing letters whose goofy books got Americans talking in 2004 about whether John Kerry shot himself on purpose (Unfit For Command), and in 2007 about the "coming merger with Mexico and Canada" (The Late Great U.S.A.) has just struck New York Times Bestseller List gold with his dumb new book, The Obama Nation. And this one has people asking whether Barack Obama plans to team up with his depraved cousin from Kenya—the Luo politician Raila Odinga—to make your daughters wear burqas and pledge allegiance to Terrorist Law.
"Obama-backed ally forged pact with radical Muslims," was how WorldNet Daily heralded Corsi's book. "New book details intervention in Kenyan presidential election."
In the Muslim-rumor laboratories of the Internet, stories have circulated for months of an evil pact--not between Obama and the Wall Street donors you would think to look at, but between Obama and Raila Odinga, Kenya's goateed socialist opposition leader and Obama's fellow Luo. In 2007, a disputed election brought on riots and murder, which Corsi would like to blame on the Democratic senator.
Odinga, as it turns out, is an Anglican. And his promise to Muslims to blanket Kenya in Islamic sharia law appears only in a document that seems, at first glance, to be a shoddy forgery created by his enemies. ...
...DURING A 2006 TRIP TO KENYA, the story goes, Obama had campaigned for Odinga, his fellow Luo, so ardently that an government spokesman (representing the corrupt Kibaki regime) had accused the senator of being a "stooge." Celeste Davis, an influential missionary in Africa who has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, is credited with an e-mail missive that tries to link the Kenya riots to Obama's alleged true nature as an Islamist who plans to bring on a "race war" akin to the tribal fighting in Kenya. Davis also claimed the senator gave $1 million to help his evil Muslim cousin campaign for a power-sharing agreement. And on Sean Hannity's site, someone has written: "This puts both Obama and Odinga right up there in a pantheon with Idi Amin!"
Which would put George W. Bush and Condoleeza Rice up there, too; the president has backed the power-sharing agreement between Odinga and his rival, incumbent Mwai Kibaki, who has become a controversial figure for allowing his constituents to be renditioned to Guantanamo Bay and various abusive countries.-

It turns out that the supposed $1 million "Friends From Senator BO" donation has been debunked by Snopes. And in a delightful twist, if you want to blame someone for planning the Odinga campaign, you are better off blaming Dick Morris, the campaign consultant and prolific author of Jerome Corsi-esque books about wicked liberals. He was part of the Odinga campaign team, Reuters has reported.
Reply
What about Odinga's shadowy promise to enslave Kenyans under the full weight of sharia Islam? Though this claim has been repeated in shoddy story by Daniel Johnson in The New York Sun and elsewhere in the Right Web, the muckraking site Wikileaks cuts through the story pretty quick. It lets us compare two versions of a "Memorandum of Understanding" signed by candidate Odinga.
One of them is a nuanced document pledging to work harder to protect Muslim Kenyans from renditions.
The other (download both) is a nutty and crude version of the first one. Someone has inserted Muslim prayers and "inShallahs" all over the place. There are explicit orders to make every child attend a madrassa, recognize sharia as "the only true law" in some regions, outlaw Christian TV, ban liquor, reject "heathens and Zionists." Odinga, an Anglican, is cast in the world of this zany document as a crypto-Muslim "who recognizes Islam as the only true religion."
It comes across as the Kenyan answer to the Michelle Obama "Whitey Tape."
And what about Obama's supposedly outrageous 2006 appearance in Kenya? I imagine that hundreds of Corsi fans are Googling "Obama + Odinga" tonight and deducing, from the sheer volume of nonsense clogging the top Google results, that the senator was down there advocating something luridly tribal and alien. A different picture comes across in coverage of Obama's visits to Kenya in the conservative Economist or the mainstream CBS, which find Obama pleading for the violence to end and declaring that "ethnic-based tribal politics have to stop."
No mention of any hidden jihadist thrust behind it all, which would be a secret safe with Dick Morris.

Mary Matalin, Jerome Corsi, and the GOP Political Hit Job Disguised as a Book
Mary Matalin and Jerome Corsi are hardly the picture of credibility and judgment
... All anyone needs to know about the background of this Corsi rant is that Mary Matalin, the GOP operative and former adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney, is the publisher. It will naturally sell books among the Republican faithful who are willing to believe anything about Democrats, lies or not.
Ms. Matalin learned her method of negative politics at the feet of the late Lee Atwater of South Carolina. Atwater was so apologetic for his slash-and-burn brand of attacks that he got in touch with political opponents to ask forgiveness while he was dying from cancer.
Matalin's judgment of politicians is truly remarkable. After counseling Cheney, she signed on early with then Sen. George Allen of Virginia as a presidential hopeful. Allen ended his career with a racist remark that cost him a near certain re-election to the Senate in 2006. Allen didn't know open microphones are everywhere these days.
Matalin moved on to former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee, whose late entry into the race was surprising to those who knew his reputation as one of the laziest members of the Senate. Thompson hardly got out of his starting blocks before ending his campaign.
McCain must have been unwilling to take on Matalin in his own campaign. So, she is back in the game as publisher—if you want to call this book publishing.
Obama is far from perfect. We Americans have known that our presidential heroes of the past, Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt and Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower, have some black marks in their past with women who were not their wives.
No such accusations have been made against Obama, but just about every other kind of insinuation and slur has surfaced. His personal life, fair game in today's open political warfare, should not be subjected to wild or untrue accusations. The same is true for John McCain if any Democratic hustler chooses to write a quickie book assailing him on only rumors or innuendo....

The free market preachers have long practised state welfare for the rich
According to Senator Jim Bunning, the proposal to purchase $700bn of dodgy debt by the US government was "financial socialism, it is un-American". The economics professor Nouriel Roubini called George Bush, Henry Paulson and Ben Bernanke "a troika of Bolsheviks who turned the USA into the United Socialist State Republic of America". Bill Perkins, the venture capitalist who took out an ad in the New York Times attacking the plan, called it "trickle-down communism".
They are wrong. Any subsidies eventually given to the monster banks of Wall Street will be as American as apple pie and obesity. The sums demanded may be unprecedented, but there is nothing new about the principle: corporate welfare is a consistent feature of advanced capitalism. Only one thing has changed: Congress has been forced to confront its contradictions.
...One of the best studies of corporate welfare in the US is published by my old enemies at the Cato Institute. Its report, by Stephen Slivinski, estimates that in 2006 the federal government spent $92bn subsidising business...
... But the Cato Institute's report has exposed only part of the corporate welfare scandal. A new paper by the US Institute for Policy Studies shows that, through a series of cunning tax and accounting loopholes, the US spends $20bn a year subsidising executive pay...
... Another report, by a group called Good Jobs First, reveals that Wal-Mart has received at least $1bn of public money.... Sometimes state governments give the firm straight cash as well: in Virginia, for example, Wal-Mart's distribution centres receive handouts from the Governor's Opportunity Fund.-

hyperbola1 year, 1 month ago
This comment is below the standard viewing threshold View It »
... Corporate welfare is arguably the core business of some government departments. Many of the Pentagon's programmes deliver benefits only to its contractors. Ballistic missile defence, for example, which has no obvious strategic purpose and is unlikely ever to work, has already cost the US between $120bn and $150bn...
Reply
...There is not and has never been a free market in the US. Why not? Because the congressmen and women now railing against financial socialism depend for their re-election on the companies they subsidise. The legal bribes paid by these businesses deliver two short-term benefits for them. The first is that they prevent proper regulation, allowing them to make spectacular profits and to generate disasters of the kind Congress is now confronting. The second is that public money that should be used to help the poorest is instead diverted into the pockets of the rich.
....A report published last week by the advocacy group Common Cause shows how bankers and brokers stopped legislators banning unsustainable lending. Over the past financial year, the big banks spent $49m on lobbying and $7m in direct campaign contributions. ..
.... Taxpayers everywhere should be asking the same question: why the hell should we be supporting them?

In trying to sell his book, Corsi is certainly capable of paying corruption bribes.
Jerome Corsi's Publicity Stunt Works
Far be it for me to condone the Kenyan government’s heavy-handed treatment of anti-Obama polemicist Jerome Corsi, news of which was splashed across the top of the Drudge Report this morning, and is still prominently displayed. It appears to this reporter, who has spent some time in the region, that Corsi’s deportation—if that is indeed what happened—appears to be an all-too-familiar case of an annoyed government overreacting in stereotypical fashion. On the other hand, no one should portray Corsi as a martyr for press freedom. What he was up to in Kenya wasn’t journalism. It was a dangerous political stunt.
First, some background. As a journalist, it takes a lot to get yourself kicked out of Kenya. It’s not Sweden, but it’s a country with a vibrant free press. There are various accreditations required to work there as a foreign correspondent, but if you’re a reporter on a brief visit, you can generally enter with a tourist visa and rest assured that no one will bother you. Despite the contention of the W.N.D. article that Corsi was there to mount an “investigation into Barack Obama's connections in the country,” it seems that what primarily brought him to Kenya was a reception to publicize his book, The Obama Nation. According to Reuters, an invitation to the event, which was to be held at a Nairobi hotel, announced that Corsi would be exposing “Obama’s ‘deep secret ties’ to mafia-like groups in Kenya.”
Corsi’s allegations of sinister ties between the two politicians are all either false or grossly distorted...
...It’s safe to assume that Corsi did not travel to Kenya to promote his book because he hoped to alert people there to the danger posed by a Obama presidency or, for that matter, because he hoped to sell many copies there. (Most Kenyans can’t afford hardcover books, for one thing, and a quarter of the population is illiterate.) What seems more likely is that the writer was hoping that bringing his book tour to Kenya would create a little exotic frisson and generate headlines back home... Let’s hope that in the future, though, the author stays here in America, where his lies only endanger a deteriorating political culture, and not actual lives.

I dont think that she hates white people, I beleave she really is scard because the color of her skin and her children too, as well as her husband. she knows the harm that used to come to blacks and it fears her knowing this, I think deep down if she would get to know white people more and learn that all arnt like that, maybe her mind would be at ease somewhat.

Man conservatives will buy anything these days it seems. even conservative media fell for this. It's sad how little fact checking anyone did on this before making it an issue.
What's next? going to buy some magic beans? come on guys... I never imagined i would see cons be this gullible.-

UHH, cons gullible? you mean like voting anti-abortion enabling the rich to take even the pot the gullible morons urinate in, and even then, still voting for the facist party of the rich?

Gullible, like believing the freaaking earth is 5000 years old created by the fart gas from the sphincter of the baby jeeeeeeesus, which btw is the exact text of Palins Evangelical Church.-

Conservatives have been in the white house 20 of the last 28 years, and the majority of that time, there was also a republican congress.. IF AND I REPEAT IF they wanted to make abortion illegal, they have had all the power they need to do so, IF AND I REPEAT IF they wanted to over turn Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court is also majority republican...
Reply
HENCE republicans have no desire or intention of making abortion illegal.. THEY LOVE ABORTION.. it gets them votes because there are still people out here who haven't figured out that abortion is a major part of their platform every election.. lol. At this point it's pathetically funny!

So we should believe an opinion piece in Huffington is unbiased attempt to find the truth. I love the part where it says "calls itself" implying that it either does not exist or that someone was impersonating them. A very slick attempt to "say it ain't so Joe". To facts just supposition. but Aidenag bought into it just like he bought into some of those lies about Palin he posted. If it fits his partisan view it must be true.

You guys just don't get it. Lying about Obama is not helping your cause. It's really hurting McCain's campaign. You guys just can seem to master that fact. You have all been the greatest contributor to the downfall of your own party's candidate. Congratulations!

All of the lies told about Palin are just simple truth to liberals. The worse the better. Never an apology for posting hate on those stories just add more hate. Then when a story unfavorable to Obama comes along is it not true or made up. The anger and hate spews forth again against the story. Hate spews forth both times. Maybe that is all liberals know how to do.

Yeah, it's much better to have a completely inexperienced and unqualified VP than to have an inexperienced first lady. And remember there's a one in three chance that unqualified and power-abusing VP would become our president. I feel bad for you if you can't imagine our country's future if that scenario played out.

It brings to mind the old schoolyard chant of, "I'm rubber and you're glue. Everything you throw at me sticks to you." The Con Men are projecting their racism, their electioneering, everything they do cheat and slime. Just study their attacks, and you will see what's in their own hearts.-

Lying to create a racist hysteria is all they have left. Barack seemed cool and collective last night clearly explaining his positions and the differences between his and Johns. While all John could answer with was to insinuate this and that, sigh, and make snide remarks. McCain showed his true character.

How the right hugs the archetype of the Angry Black! How it invests (and reinvests) in this noxious stereotype: black person as bogeyman!
It's racism. And it's not even covert.
So Red, do those who who aren't afraid of blacks because they're black--and have no need to keep the fear going to satisfy a need to scapegoat--a favor.

Then they sing their own praises about how they are God's chosen children! Amazing eh?

I can't believe people are gullible enough to believe such an horrendous story. Does anyone honestly believe that Mrs. Obama would really even think let alone say something like this, knowing the firestorm such words would create ?
Reply
Why are people so eager to believe anything and everything? Why are people so eager and deperate that they feel compelled to spread rumors which they cannot substantiate? Something sinister is going on here just like the continuous unfounded rumors being spread about Sen Obama's religion, citizenship etc.
The hate and fear wrapped up in such tremedous lies is so apparent. I feel sorry for those who feel compelled to participate in this kind of smear politics.
(To the person who said they are gathering the tapes now, I submit you better not hold your breath until they are produced!)-

any port in a storm-they know the ship is sinking, so they'll latch onto anything...
--------
this is maybe the worst thread I ever read. culminating in things like 'she is butt ugly', 'black house', etc
that's what's at the heart of the matter..simple personal dislike
and all the haters have come out of the woodwork to do their thing
question I have is how do you hate people you haven't even met, unless they've commited some heinous crime against humanity?
hatred like that can only be echoes from your own soul, words shouted across a canyon at strangers in the distance
you'll also notice that there is a great deal of fear expressed here-phrases like 'what scares me is' and 'she is an angry woman' and 'they hate white people' and the general notion of trepidation: once they get in the WH, look out ! [never can quite get them to express what they think will happen-it's just generalized anxiety, nonspecific even after it finds a focal point of Obama and his wife]
get rid of that kind of hatred and fear..it's an anchor on your soul and does no one any good-especially you
you'll feel better without it
and relax, Obama may not be the president most of us hope he will be, but your fears and hatred are baseless. the political propaganda machine is just using your 'worse angels' against you, to manipulate you. Don't fall for it. Don't give the scumbags the satisfaction

I believe RedRiversJ has a problem with personal beliefs;
in fact, I think he has taken a dislike to anyone who dares to defy the communist takeover of our beloved country.
But that is just my opinion (which is not the same as a personal belief).
Good luck with the investigation! -

yram. If not now , in the past. Can you believe people who will cast stones at Michelle Obama while ignoring a woman who not only was an admitted thief from her own charity, denies her sister, was a druggie if not still one, was in business with Charles Keating, took gratuities from Keating and shared them with her husband; as I said can you believe the Republicans who rail at Michelle's character can ignore their mate in chief , one who marriage came from an adulterous affair between McCain and Cindy - before McCain divorced his cripple wife.
