In which all parties McCain and Obama as well as Congress agreed upon! Poor argument.

It's not a poor argument for making the case that Bush is the worst kind of 'socialist' this country has ever seen, redistributing the country's wealth into the pockets of corporations and criminals on wall street. The last people who should see monetary gain for their actions.

Why is it a poor argument? Aren't conservatives against socialism? You don't think it's significant that a conservative president would nationalize the banks?

Who was it who called for the bailout in the first place? George W. Bush.

As if that matters, hell all went along with shrub and Iraq also, and now think it is ok as it is now part of everyday life.
Elected officials get a great health care plan, courtesy of the tax payer, and that is socialism; just don't give it to the tax payers though.
As Snowball said (think it was Snowball)
"All animals are created equal, just some are more equal than others"

First suggested by former Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady, former Controller of the Currency Eugene Ludwig, and Reagan-era Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker.

Question for you .. test ... who voted for it besides McCain?

Bush didn't "nationalize the banks". Clinton did it in 1999, Bush wasn't in office yet.

actually, Andrew Jackson nationalized the banks when he created the Federal Reserve.

Which piece of legislation was that? I think you're referring to the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act. Allowing banks and insurance companies to merge is hardly 'nationalizing', quite the opposite, it is removing government regulation.

But perhaps you are referring to something else?

PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FACT AND FICTION SHOULD NOT OFFER COMMENTS. THE FACT REMAINS, THAT OBAMA HAS BEEN UP FRONT DURING HIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN. HE HAS BEEN MUD SLINGING - AND HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE A MORAL AND ETHICAL INDIVIDUAL.

Hmmm, so what you're saying is that HIS mud-slinging is moral and ethical. Interesting ...

If McCain had half of the questionable "friends" that Obama had. The media would branded him as a card carrying member if the clan. Obama is far form ethical or moral. He is a crook that has not been caught , like some of his friend, .yet!!

Yep, as we watch the real-time results of the 2048 elections flicker in over the holovision, a string of micro-wind generators fluttering like hummingbirds outside the window, I'll set my healthy and well-educated grandkids on my knee and tell them how Obama helped steer America away from becoming a fascist plutocratic oligarchy.

"Yes, dears, that was a few years before Dick Cheney and the CEOs of Halliburton and KBR were sentenced to have their 'nads yanked off at a monster truck rally for Iraq war profiteering. Ah, memories!"
