Its problems, moreover, have been leaking into the general economy, and the leaks are now turning into a gusher. In the near term, unemployment will rise, business activity will falter and headlines will continue to be scary.

Great Post Beau! I read this article after I dived into the Stock Market and now know it was a great decision.

We have lost 40% of our retirement 401k, and I know that this is true with a lot of family and friends also with this latest crash.
But I also realized that this was a once in a life time opportunity for me to get into the market like I have always wanted to so I did. I opened an online account and have invested in mostly American companies and am learning a lot about how it works.
I never thought I could own a piece of Microsoft, Alcoa, Motorola, Nokia, General Electric, Intel, General Motors, Ford and others, but I do now.
It's better than Las Vegas gambling!!
