India woman beheads alleged stalker; parades in street »

A woman chopped the head off a man who allegedly tried to attack her and then paraded the head through a market in northern India, police said Friday.

Police arrested the woman late Thursday after receiving calls from frightened witnesses who reported a blood-soaked woman holding a severed head was walking through the village, said police officer Ram Bharose.

    This woman was attacked by this weirdo and will be charged with murder? She should be given a medal for stopping violence against women.

    Women in India should protest her arrest. Of course a woman should be free to fight back and stop violent attacks.

      I always wonder about biasing verbiage in a lot of news stories.

      "Paraded his head through town" could have been, "stunned, confused, and in a deep state of shock and panic after the attack; she carried his head into town, looking for help".

      I am sure it must have been a terrifying ordeal to have experienced.
