Bacatao was guessing what this was about and he guessed wrong - had nothing to do with whether the story is true or not. Besides these guys did a couple of other videos that did turn out true which gives them some credibility. Besides the law suit has been around for months and has been reported on by several differing outlets. This is the first video that I know of though.

the Hawaii Dept of Health came out with an official statment in June saying Obama was born in Hawaii, he is an American citizen, and his birth ceritificate is official and legal.

When i find it again i will post it for you. During her statement at the very end she said something to the effect that there was no way for her to tell for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I have seen at least 4 video biographies that were quite extensive and read several more that were also quite detailed. Oddly they all seem to jibe with each other. I typed in the words "Obama" and "biography" in Google and came up with some 5,370,000 entries. This is like people who say they don't know what Obama's agenda is if elected. Despite the fact that you can go to his website and order a complete 'Blueprint for Change" that details his plans or simple read a breakdown issue by issue on the Web at his campaign site.
What exactly is wrong with you people? Is there something in the water where you live? Or have you been knocking back the neocon Kool-Aid so much that you can't see straight? You don't get to be a U.S. Senator much less a Presidential candidate without being thoroughly vetted and nobody has undergone more scrutiny than Barack Obama.
Never mind if you vote for McCain/Palin you will be voting for candidates who will continue to further enrich the weaIthiest Americans, while those of us below will wait like baby chicks for their mother to regurgitate that wealth only to see her swallow it whole as we have seen for 8 solid years. The GOP doesn't believe in trickle down, they clearly believe in trickle up. I am shocked at the continued stupidity of my fellow citizens. I see commercials continuing to insist that Obama will raise YOUR taxes. Nevermind that the YOUR they are speaking of is the small percentage (roughly 5%) of Americans who have realized the benefits of the Bush tax cuts. Growing up in this country I knew we had dullards amongst us but I never truly realized the extent of the problem until the last 8 years. It is a full blown epidemic.
Want proof? This is the very same breakdown of tax rates that Bob Shieffer quoted to both candidates in Wednesday's debate. There was no quibbling from either about the accuracy of this chart from the Tax Policy Center.

I look at it this way Obama plan will get me back $500.00 extra but my Boss will have to pay $150,000.00 extra in taxes so there goes my $1.25hr raise next year down to maybe 0.25cents Or in other words i loose about $1,400.00yr due to the fact my Boss will have to recover the loss some how. I look at it this way Sarah Palin paid a little over 10% in taxes last year. This was at the same time I paid almost 30%. I am not rich, she is. I am lower middle class. she doesn't even fall into the catagory of middle class unless you use J.S.M. III's idea that if you make under 3mil per annum your are middle class. I think the middle class is taking too much of the tax burden. Yes I know that the upper 50% pay over 80% of the taxes in dollar amount not percent of income. My take is we should all pay roughly the same percent. Or would you rather we all paid the same dollar amount?

Note the name of the website this is linked to. These people wouldn't be showing any bias would they? Obama has instigated riots in Kenya, dealt with shady characters in Chicago (I suppose no Chicago politician is technically qualified to run for any national office if this is a criteria) and apparently worked with Bill Ayres in plotting to bomb the Capitol and Pentagon when he was 8 years old.

We are talking about the Presidency and this guy stonewalls?
The only way Obama can satisfactorily respond is to release his suposed Hawaiian birth certificate. If he has it, why hasn't he released it? If he does release it, game over. So why drag this out on technical grounds? It doesn't make sense.
If this video gets widely viewed and discussed, Obama's support will crumble in the face of his continued stonewalling. Why doesn't he authorize the state of Hawaii to provide birth certificate to the court?
The important point is that the Obama campaign has not chosen to confront Berg's claims in a straightforward manner. That is a fact. Posting two different electronic images of an alleged birth certificate does not carry weight in court. Nor do the opinions of organizations like factcheck.org or snopes.com. The only version of a birth certificate that would matter is one submitted to court and attested to as valid, under penalty of perjury, and subject to forensic examination.
It may be the case that Berg is completely wrong. If so, the Obama campaign could have submitted documentation to the court quashing this case. Instead, it has chosen to engage in a legal strategy of delay. Why would they do this if Obama's documentation were in order? Why would they only provide electronic (so far as I know) copies to friendly sources?

I can go down to my town hall and buy birth certificates for anybody. Heck, I can go online and buy birth certificates of famous people still alive, with the only hassle being a couple of bucks.
But let's look at the facts.... obama was born in Hawaii, to an american mother... I don't see any problem. Without a doubt, children born to US citizens OUTSIDE of the us are considered "natural born" and eligible for the us presidency.
My friends child was born in a european country, and the us embassy said that there was nothing he could do. His kid was AUTOMATICALLY a us citizen, subject to us laws, and not able to renounce her citizenship until becoming of the age of majority.-

A quirk in the law states if only 1 parent, the mother is an American citizen she has to be 19. She was 18. The reports of the grandmother saying she was present at the birth in Kenya doesn't help. I don't know if it's true or not. The big problem is why the stall tactics, why not put it to rest? That's what doesn't make sense. Highest office in the land, still, he works for us. He's asking for a job. Why hire a lawyer to delay a legal proceeding over something that's a no brainer? If there's no merit to the case, why hasn't it been dismissed?

You can no longer get a birth certificate of anyone but yourself, your spouse or your child. You might be able to get one for your parent, I'm not sure. You must show proof of ID to get this birth certificate (kind of puts you in a quandary when you get your wallet stolen or lost --- you need your birth certificate to get a new license and you need a state issued photo ID (license) to get your birth certificate.

Please be advised that anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason but they will be thrown out in court when the facts are presented. Providing it is an impartial judge. The republican strategy is to get the lawsuits in the paper to create the "shadow" you speak of knowing full well they are false and with the "soft" money behind the republicans there is no limit.

The Fourteenth Amendment states that "all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States." Since Hawaii is part of the United States, even if Barack Obama's parents were both non-U.S. citizens who hadn't even set foot in the country until just before he was born, he'd still qualify as a natural-born citizen.

It's still an issue because Obamas grandmother said she was at his birth in Kenya, and the fact that Obamas mother registered the birth 4 days after it happened. He does have a Hawaiian birth certificate, that is already been verified. It's where he was actually born that is the problem. Someone earlier said that there is a newspaper clipping reporting the birth, this information could have been taken from a list of recent birth certificates issued. There is also discrepencies with the hospital staff that were suppose to have been on duty that night.

Obama was born in Hawaii almost 2 years AFTER Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States.

Obama IS Constitutionally qualified to run for President.
The Snopes article makes note of Berg's lawsuit and also notes the following regarding such lawsuits --
"Lawsuits over candidate's eligibility are not uncommon.
Similar lawsuits (none of them successful), for example, have been filed challenging the citizenship status of JOHN MCCAIN (who was born in the Panama Canal Zone), challenging the Wyoming residency status of Dick Cheney (who was born in Wyoming but moved to Texas), and challenging the citizenship status of 1964 Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater (who was born in Arizona before that territory was admitted as a state)."
Berg's suit hasn't even made it to court and probably will never amount to anything anyway. -

When the state department and state records department already agree that he's a US Citizen, then the burden of proof that he isn't (which is ridiculous given the evidence) falls upon the people bringing the lawsuit.
It's not his job to 'prove' he's a citizen to some whacked out Repugnant Con with an agenda. He's already proven it to the only government agency that matters.

I didn't hear when Barrack's mother traveled to Africa to have him and when she returned to America after the birth. He would have had to have a Kenyan passport to get back into the US. To start school he would have had to have a birth certificate. He would have to show a birth certificate to get a drivers license. He would need a BC for selective service. A BC for a Social Security card.
