My grandmother was white, my dad is 1/2 black and 1/2 white. So I see it in my mirror! When I say Isolated I don't mean geography, I mean by community...As a black man almost every situation I enter with whites I have to break down preconceive notions about black people. My education is the first to be challenge then my character, every time, there is no letting up on this. Once I ask myself why? I came to the conclusion that two things perpetuates this behavior, Ignorance and more so the media and the way they report the news.
