I guess I don't get it. When I've moved somewhere in the past for work, I register to vote where I'm working and living. Is this yet another Repugnant Con ploy to deny people their right to vote? Seems like.

Shouldn't the question be - is their voter registration still valid in the state where their permanent residence is located and do they plan to return to their state of primary residence and vote there too?

In every election the same comment is heard ... if the voter turn-out is small ... the Republicans will win ... if it's large ... the Democrats will win.

The reason for that is that the middle class and poor people find it difficult to make it to the polls and quite frankly, many are jaded because they perceive that Government is not working on their behalf ... but merely working to Redistribute the Wealth of the nation to the Wealthiest.

That's why Republican Dirty Tricks makes Voter Disenfranchisement a high Priority.

These bogus stories about Voter Fraud are just one more example of Right Wing Shills and Propagandists trying to muddy the water.

In fact, Albierto Gonzalez scoured the nation searching for examples of Voter Fraud to present a case to the Supreme Court.

He was unsuccessful ... much to the chagrin of the Rove wing of the White House.

        . . .

But Republicans will continue to fight this issue.

        It's a favorite tactic ... or strategy.

If you claim something is true often enough and loud enough .. you don't need facts.

It's like the whole Liberal Media Bias thing.

The Right INVENTED the claim of Bias for the sole purpose of INSTITUTIONALIZING Bias ... Right Wing Bias.

Now ... the are INVENTING Voter Fraud ... for the sole purpose of INSTITUTIONALIZING their own fraud of denying citizens the right to vote ... because they are poor ... don't own a car ... or don't own a home ....

        What may the future hold?

I can see these Morally Vacant Extremists working on a plan to Exclude Americans of the Muslim Faith from Voting.

        ...

Lying, Cheating, Propagandizing .... this has become all part of the Modern Republican mantra of 'The Only Important Thing is to Win ... Win At All Costs ... Whatever It Takes".

        ..

I don't think you have a case. People are allowed to vote in the state of their residence regardless who they work for. If they meet the requirements they can vote.

In fact, there's another story on Propeller ... a FACTUAL story that has Voting Machines actually SWITCHING VOTES from Obama to McCain.

Citizens selected Obama ... then the machine automatically checks McCain.

See ... this is the only way Republicans can win any more ... ever since they became the party of the Morally Vacant.

          -Pro War
          -Pro Lying
          -Anti-Veteran
          -Anti-Child
          -Anti-GI Bill
-Pro blowing the cover on Undercover CIA agents.

Like I say ... Morally Vacant.

Well now Goppy, the switching votes is in favor of McCain so they're not concerned about that. It's just the Obama votes that has them worried.

"We requested a statement on Friday...and we still haven't heard back. However, this controversy surrounding out-of-state voting isn't new. The question was initially raised in December 2007 before the Iowa caucus."

Maybe if the request had come from a reputable news source they would have heard back. I'm not surprised that Obama would not waste time replying to Fox news.

What the hell is wrong with you people?
FTA "These individuals move into Ohio with the sole purpose of working for the Obama campaign, so are they allowed or even encouraged to vote in Ohio?"
As long as the MOVED into the state of OHIO they have a legal right to vote there. Why don't you worry about the electronic voting machines that flip votes. That would be more of a concern than a couple dozen staff workers voting in their new state of residency.
Are McCain's staff workers in Ohio voting in Ohio?? Probably not because they were too busy in court trying to stop people from being allowed to vote.
Why is it always the Republicans that try to stop people from voting instead of getting more people out to vote?

yo toots you answered absolutely nothing..........you have never heard of absentee ballots from their own election districes.......the question is are they voting absentee ballots and voting in Ohio also.......

                    FTA

O'Brien said intentionally casting a ballot in Ohio as a temporary person in the state could be a felony. O'Brien continued, "But if someone mistakenly concluded, in looking at the explanations, that temporary residency for 30 plus days entitled them to vote, then it may be their vote and registration should be canceled."
