I heard Powell speak at NSB Kings Bay around 15 years ago.

The man is a Great American.

This says more to me about McCain than anything I have seen or heard.

Goppy, exactly why I am now an Independent. I believe the Democrat party is no better. There are good people in both parties, but the time of just 'following the party line' needs to be over.

It's no wonder you believe the DEMOCRATIC Party "is no different" and you're no "Independent" just because you're ashamed of having poor enough judgement to vote Republican. ;-(

Graft, greed, and corruption is rampant throughout both parties. Research the video, the public records of the Democrats that proclaimed Freddie/Fannie were fine, no problems. Then go look at who recieved the most PAC/individual money from Freddie/Fannie. Dodd #1, Barak Obama #2. The infamous stain on Lewinskis dress. If you choose to be a Democrat, that's fine, really. To tell me what and who I am with such animosity and no knowledge is closed minded at best, and does nothing to uphold the image of your party.

I think he's more against Palin than most anything else but I DID hear that he would rather have McCain in power in the time of crisis and when experience is needed. While I really do respect Powell, I think he two-faced on this one. Also I think he's bitter because of the Condie Rice appointment. Either way, whoever gets in I surely hope she's history.
