Right wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh wasted little time sticking the knife in Colin Powell’s back after the general endorsed Barack Obama this morning. Limbaugh claimed in an email that, “Powell's move was very much related to Obama's status as the first African-American with a chance to become president." Obviously, this is what the GOP means by the slogan "Country First."

Yeah, I am sure that Powell's decision has nothing to do with the fact that Cheney and Bush ruined his political career. They made a liar out of a good honest man. And now they are throwing him under the bus. A man who gave up his conscience in loyalty to party now is villified by that very same party.

Rush a self proclaimed Nut case was a Major supporter Of NAFTA, which, he now denies? He also was a strong supported of the war in Iraq which caused the lives of over 4,000 Americans?
Colin Powell is an exceptional Man, his endorsement of Senator Obama again shows the wisdom and concern he has for all Americans.
McCain is a 26 year Corrupt Politician who may be in need of some serious mental health examinations. His choice of the self proclaimed DOG with lipstick proves how poor his choice of a VP candidate really is.

Let me ask Rush this. Where was Obama when Powell treaten to resign as Secretary of State two years into his term? This has nothing to do with Obama being the first man of color to have a legitimate chance of becoming President, it helps, but it's not the sole reason. More than anything, it's a way for Powell to atone himself from the GOP party that ruined his outstanding Military record with the invasion of Iraq. Having him lie to the American people about WMD when there was none. Then sending him to Israel to be made to look like a fool pushing Bush's maddness. Now Colin Powell finally has spoken. To hell with the GOP Party, and good riddance.

But after listening to General Powell tell how he agonized over his decision, and explain how he felt about John McCain as a friend, to jump to this lunatic conclusion suggests that everything to do with Powell and Obama is running through Rush's race filter before getting to the part of his brain where speech is formed. -

Read into it any race factor you want, but I applaud Powell's decision to vote for the best man regardless of the party affiliation. I don't agree that Obama is the best man but I applaud Powells decision. We need more people who vote for the man and not the party.
