And the Obama supporters are just little lambs being very nice. Like those in South Carolina going out and taking all of the McCain/Palin signs and throwing them in the trash. Like those who go around attacking cars with McCain/Palin stickers on them. Keying, slashing tires, and breaking windows. Nice little libs. We can keep up a back and forth on who is the worst. I think the conservatives will have fewer people doing that. Conservatives are less demonstrative and emotional than liberals. There was a story in the NYC papers about a woman who was attacked by a man because she held a McCain sign. Big tough liberal beating up on a conservative woman.

Then just look at all the posts on this site by liberals exuding hate for Bush calling him every name that gets past the censors for the site.
Then there was the story that had someone saying kill, kill in a rally and aimed at Obama. Turns out the story was a hoax.
Then Jovial tries to blame all the hate and bigotry on Conservatives. Hate filled lib that he is. He is the author of a lot of the posts that I referenced. -

I've seen that clip on CNN & it was both: disconcerting & elevating. It was sad, but real.

Yes, bigotry from McCain supporters, AND, McCain supporters standing up and telling the bigots where to get off.

Anybody who's been on this list knows that I am not a member of the McCain/Palin glee club, but lets give props where they are due. I am proud of those who stood up to the bigots and said "we are not about that. And you are not with us." It's a bigger issue than partisan electoral politics. -

jovial really missed the point. It was Mc Cain supporters who confronted the other McCain supporters and made them close up shop. I am not a McCain supporter but I applaud those who stood up to the bigotry and misinformation. It is what we all should be doing regardless of who we vote for in the end.

Thanks for the video link. Those two liked having their message broadcast by the media, but they sure didn't like being questioned by the same. One-way transmission only.

Yes we decry any kind of intolerance..but at the same time the free world need to know that islamism is a dangerous ideology that is hell bent on sowing chaos and subjugating the world to allah, shariah and mohammad. To see the stealth Jihad that is occuring in the US and the violence world wide on account of radical islam you just have to check it out:

I liked the anti-Muslim ladies comment ... "I'm not comfortable with talking to the media because I see how the media distorts everything."
Here's a blatant propagandist ... complaining about the MEDIA distorting things!!!LOL!!!
I mean ... how does a sane person talk about fruitcakes like this in a normal tone. I'm tempted to turn off my 'Spell Check and Twang Checker' and address these morons on a level they can connect with.
...
Look ... the REASON my fellow Christian Conservatives complain about their portrayal in the media is .... because in the unblinking eye of media ... they actually LOOK like the Morons they are.
It's just like, in the South, in the Civil Rights Demonstrations ... they showed the police shooting water canon on the black protesters ... and they showed the white Christian Conservatives ... all red faced ... shouting their anger at these black marchers.
Left to themselves ... they thought this was normal ... when viewed through the lens of national media ... they looked like the idiots they were.
THIS is why my fellow Righties chant the mantra of Liberal Media Bias .... with ANY exposure ... they simply look ridiculous.
Sick. -

This reminds me of those neocon emails with similar sentiments that always end with, "If you agree with this, pass it on. If not, delete it." They don't want to be disabused of their ignorance, but I can never resist forwarding the factcheck site that busts the sender.

One may choose to separate themselves from those right wing extremists who support McCain and denounce Muslims; but how can they support a ticket that has Sarah Palin on it, who incites hate at her rallies. While McCain has, on occasion, rebuked those supporters who demonstrate hate for all Muslims and call for Obama's death, he is partly responsible for conducting a campaign that condemns Obama as a terrorist sympathizer. He has also fostered the use of Obama's middle name and has done little to prevent that kind of scurilous bigotry.
Reply
I find it absurd that any Muslims would be willing to support a McCain-Palin ticket. I am sure there are not many in comparison to those supporting Obama.
There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim; terrorism and Islam are not synonymous among educated people who are not bigots; but why associate yourself with leaders who lack the moral responsibility of conducting a campaign that is not based on racist attacks?-

Frankly, i don't see how people of the Muslim faith could embrace John McCain! I actually found it to be amazing that after the negativity that McCain/Palin have ranted ad nauseam about Muslims and their relationship to Obama, that REAL Muslims would even consider voting for McCain.

The Swamp
by Jill Zuckman
John McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, today called Barack Obama "the greatest fundraiser in presidential history," but questioned why Obama has not disclosed the names of people who gave him $200 or less.
"Our house is right," said Davis, noting that McCain has disclosed all of his donors. "And the question remains, why with the technology he has at his hands and the demands for transparency that he is so well known for...why doesn't he do the same thing?"
The not-so-subtle suggestion from Davis is that Obama is collecting contributions from foreigners, which is illegal. Obama reported raising $150 million for his campaign last month, a record-breaker on every front.
The Republican National Committee is setting up a searchable database so that people can see who has donated money within 24 hours of a contribution being received, Davis notes.
If the RNC can do it, Davis said, "the great and wonderful" Obama campaign could do it, too.
Davis acknowledged that McCain is at a substantial financial disadvantage and Obama is using his funds to buy massive amounts of television time. But, he said, "Money is not going to decide this race."-

I think that is being very petty of the GOP to make anything of the Obama small money donations.......hubby and I are first time contributors and have made several $50 and $30 contributions on a basis of doing it when we can afford it that month.
Reply
OR, when a dumb than dumber GOP poster really ticks me off bad I have clicked on the Obama ad on this site and contributed just because I was pizzed off enough to want to support him even more!!!!!
For McCain and his supporters to even begin hinting that there is fraud here is enough to make me donate even more!!!
p.s. I have family members that do the same thing. -

What in the world does your post have to do with the video? Is there no end to the distractions of the right or do you just have adult attention deficit disorder (AADD)?
It's pretty sad when you can't stay on topic and have to talk about contributions and advertising. Is there anything else you'd like to talk about? Maybe the issues of health care, education, finance reform, unemployment, or other things the Republicans have dropped the ball on?
Your inability to discuss real issues shows the very problem the Republicans are having in connecting with voters...when the questions get hard it all becomes rhetoric and no substance. -

They pale in comparison to what I have seen by democrats in past years. For this particular election it it is about like the mid 80's. Not as bad as the 60s or 70s. No party is a saint and no party is the devil, and none have the moral highground. Individuals are judged by whoever thinks it is to their advantage.

I have always been puzzled at the mentality of those who listen to this type of crap. It merely indicates that they are not capable of thinking on their own, so they must depend on others to tell them what to think. Those who listen to, and believe what they hear on talk radio are perfect examples.

How can it be racist if people are asking questions about Obama. His ties to Islam, maxist/socialist ideals, ACORN, Bill Ayers, etc has not been answered to satisfy some people. The MSM won't ask the hard questions so others must take measure to ask. It my be drastic but is that the only way to the MSM attention?

I'm super surprised there were even ANY Muslim supporters of McCain to beGIN with. Don't they realize that the world is divided between dar al Islam and dar al harb? Well, they probably did, but, needed something like this to totally jump ship over to the guy who has the terrorists rooting for him.
It is always the case Mutainia because Muslims live in non-Muslim countries belong to Dar al hrab and the Muslims live in Dar al Islam both have to adjust to the conditions there, that's the beauty of Islam. But remember McCain will be loser, he uses all kinds of stupid tactics to cheat people who support Obama. His supporters are bankrupt like the America itself and have to call him that he is a terrorist, a Communist and he is a Muslim rolled into one and too dangerous to vote for him. McCain has nothing to offer the American people. -

It is commendable that McCain's campaign workers were decent enough to confront this loony. But McCain is playing with fire when he falsely accuses his opponent of:
Reply
1 -- Palling around with terrorists,
2 -- Being a socialist,
3 -- Not being from the "real" America but from the Anti-America part of the country,
4 -- Misrepresenting Obama's tax cuts for the middle class as wanting to send welfare checks to those who don't pay taxes.
This is dangerous stuff in the minds of the information poor who don't realize that every word of it is a lie.
And the thought of electing such a liar, such a prophet of division, such a trader in hate speech, as President of the USA is TRULY scary. -

Why don't McCain and Palin, denounce this kind of campaigning rather than profit from it? They rely on their followers to kick the bigots out.

I keep flashing back to that South Carolina woman, "How we gonna beat the b*tch" and McCain laughing, because he knew he could parlay that kind of hatred into voting support. It's a pattern of intolerance that we can't allow anymore.-

I am disappointed that McCain didn't go over and say something himself.

It would have sent a clear message...so why didn't he?
So I have to assume he either doesn't care or just doesn't "get" it.
Pretty pitiful...I just wish people would be honest with themselves about where they have seen this type of Us vs. Them campaigning before.
I know where I saw it...that fact of realization has answered many of my own questions about for whom I will vote.

Its very simple. Republicans love America but hate gays, minorities, liberated women, non-Christians, anyone who prefers peace to war, poor people, intellectuals, academics, the United Nations, the French, and scientists. They have to cultivate the red neck vote and that is the key to their pseudo populism.

Am I missing something here. Isn't the McCain campaign trying to portray Obama as a terrorist and a socialist? If supporters are running off supporters that are repeating this poop why aren't they running McCain/Palin off the stage when they espousal the same crap. There is a disconnect here. Was this staged, trying to make McCain look inclusive? Weird video.

You bloggers are talking out both sides of your mouth. First, foreigners don't like Obama. After raising over a million dollars in contributions last month, he's now getting his contributions from foreigners. What a bunch of assholes. The GOP is a Party of total ASSHOLES, McCain and Palin are the biggest.
