Will Election 2008 bring new hope or will it be another charade? Are we waiting silently in the darkness of "denial"?

These you need to research on your on before making up your mind. Do not buy into the Hype or misleading headlines. Do not allow anyone to dictate your vote.Do the research and check your sources things to consider:
Reply
1. Does experience matter? If yes McCain,if no Obama. Read their resumes.
a. Is this an election for the CEO of the USA or PR rock star?CEO McCain,PR rock star Obama.
b.Have they ever served or fought for the USA? If yes McCain, no Obama.
c.Who has an in depth understanding of the Military and Foreign Policy? Yes McCain, no Obama.
2. Should America remain a free nation?Yes McCain, no Obama
a.Should the government take you hard earned money and give it to someone who never worked? Yes Obama, no McCain.
b. Do you want someone whose mentors, associates, and partners rage against the USA?If yes Obama,if no McCain.
c. Do you want a leader who will take away your rewards from accomplishments and drive to better yourself? If yes Obama, if no McCain.
3. Do you believe in the someone who would slander and malign your character for asking question. If yes Obama, if no McCain
a.Do you want a weak inexperienced president who, according to his own VP, would invite or guarantee a challenge from our enemies in the first six months? If yes Obama, no McCain.
b. Do you want a president who can pass the same security clearance requirements as his Secret Service bodyguard? If yes McCain, no Obama.
As I have said many time through the course of this race, do the research and check your facts. In the political world, do not be seduced by the sound bit mentality, separate the chaff from the wheat. The intervention of foreign interest in this particular race is phenomenal. The misinformation, half truths, misleading headlines(90% are too lazy or ignorant to read further), planted stories with no substance are to be expected. The USA has been in this position before. Remember an old saying," the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Where youth with beautiful dreams can be seduced by fairy tales, those who have grown up to see the nightmares of the real world are not so easy to fooled. In a world of political smoke and mirrors, consider the motives behind the rhetoric. Children may be the future, but that does not guarantee, a bright shining one. Naivety is a trap of youthful exuberance. Where blind hatred and inexperience can mask the truth perhaps one should consider the consequences of all courses of action. Socialism paints a pretty picture of the unattainable dream.
Have you read Animal Farm?

I left a comment on the site, but want to reiterate. It appears that tampering with the votes has already started. Many people who voted early in W.Va. said that the voting machines were switching their votes, and every county it happened in were republican counties. Then the county clerks tried to blame it on the voters ignorance, saying they didn't know how to use the machines.
Reply
It's started! Question is, what are we going to do about it?-

Arrest the lying bastards who claim it is the voters fault, demand paper ballots, and insist on an equal number of Democrats be present as poll workers to take care of the question of ethics !!!!!!

in the next two weeks, we will see more rigged polls showing mccain just a few points behind obama, so that by election day, it will be a statistical dead heat. then, after mccain wins, pundits will talk about hidden racism as the cause.
Reply
instead, Diebold, E & S, and Sequoia will have done their magic. since they got away with it twice already, there is no reason for them to stop now.
this is a prediction that i would be most happy to be wrong about, but all the signs are in place already. -

Here is what I have sent out to my Congressman and Senator:
Reply
The history of electronic voting machines that do not provide a paper trail is fraught with suspicion and distrust. The ease in which these machines can be tampered with to manipulate votes is a proven fact. Those politicians representing the counties and states still insisting to use and to relying upon these machines to count votes must at least be considered negligent, if not guilty of malfeasance. Early voters in W. Virginia are already reporting these machines are switching their votes.
"In my county, Pinellas, here in Florida, we still have these unreliable machines. In a previous election, I have seen my vote register incorrectly. As my senator, I expect that you will bring this issue of paramount importance to the forefront immediately."-

By that logic, How did the Democrats get in control of the Senate and the House? It couldn't happen if the machines are rigged. Could it?
Reply
Personally I don't like 100% machine voting because it brings up suspicion. I would prefer a PC to print out your selection in readable English on paper, then for it to be taken to a scanner which does the tally. The Scanner would be verified by both parties with sample ballots. This leaves a paper trail just in case a hand count has to be done.

What I also find disconcerting is the apathy and hypocrisy expressed by those Republicans and McCain supporters who are quick to bash Acorn in an attempt to smear Obama. But, when it comes to these electronic machines that appear in primarily Republican strongholds, they stand by and say nothing.

Is that what one should call patriotism? Is allegiance to the dereliction of duty and the wanton subversion of free elections a partisan issue? I think not.-

they put their agenda ahead of any patriotism all the time. That is why the neo-cons can send your children off to war and not theirs. They are all cowards anyway. Apathy is the killer in America and until the masses unite and take back their country they can only blame themselves for allowing it to happen. America is spiritually bankrupt not just financially!!!!

We need to get rid of the neocons-Fascist/Nazi-party. These are not Republicans, these are the Nazi's dressed in the partys' colors.
They knew the new world order was coming when we and the world allowed so many Nazi criminals to come and live in America !!!!!!
The scary thing is, so many embrace the lunacy of Hitler still.
I think they should be made to watch the horrors of the Holocaust and the absolute evil it was.
Watched day and night, with their loved ones pictures inserted into the story. So they may see the awful terror committed upon humans in the name of hatred and party over country.
Hitlers dream lives it is the neocon party. We are warned in the Bible that satan doesn't come dressed in the evil he is. He comes dressed as a beacon of light, what have the neocons been promising the last 30 years. A kinder gentler compassionate conservative party.
Words of the devil for sure and lies just the same !!!!!
Well done Spadecaller.-

Why is vote-tampering mostly directed at the Republicans? It is understandable that many conservatives question what seems to be a one-sided attack. The answer is simple; the big three touchscreen providers are all major Republican donors, who dump hundreds of thousands of dollars into supporting republican candidates. The ownership issue is even more egregious because of their lack of transparency.

These companies have all been notorious for refusing to reveal information about their voting systems in the light of allegations that began in 2000. As expert Dr Mercuri said: "If the machines were independently verifiable, who would give a crap who owns them?" Unfortunately, these machines are not independently verifiable and there are too many states and voting districts that are unwilling to abandon use of them. Their resistance to change spurs even more suspicion among American voters. Who are the players behind this strange attitude?
The roster of radical right wing personalities is quite extensive. Billionaire Howard Ahmanson, a reclusive fundamentalist -- Christian philanthropist from Orange County, CA. heads the list. Suffering from Tourette's syndrome, most of his public statements are made by his wife, Roberta. During the 1970s, Ahmanson became a disciple of R. J. Rushdoony, an Armenian cleric who preached the doctrine of "reconstructionism", a brand of Christian fundamentalism that advocates strict governance by Old Testament law.
Ahmanson provided capital to brothers Bob and Todd Urosevich, the founders of ES (previously American Information Systems) the company that provides the unreliable electronic voting machines without paper trail verification that millions of American voters have been using and will be using this November 2008. In addition, Ahmanson regularly donates to numerous Republican candidates.
In the early 1980s, Bob and Todd Urosevich (Vice Pres.) started ES as a company called Data Mark. Bob Urosevich is head of IMark, the creator of the software architecture used in many US voting machines and part of the management of Premier Election Systems (formerly Diebold Election Systems). Thomas W. Swidarski replaced Urosevich as President of Diebold Election Systems in the second half of 2004; the same year George W. Bush was re-elected after defeating John Kerry. -

One response that I received from the Republican representative seems difficult to believe, but this is what it was:
Reply
"Thank you for contacting my office regarding your lack confidence in our County’s voting machines. This election you are the only person to contact me with this concern. I have contacted the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections office and asked them if they have received any complaints this year with the accuracy of the voting machines. They
have had no complaints."
Could I really be the only one in the most populated country in all of Florida? Population was listed as 18,089,888 in 2006!
And, I have the dubious honor of having been the only complaint..-

You need to get a hold of the Obama people in your area and let them know so that they can start contacting him!!!!! Slam his email full of complaints and then maybe some thing can be done.

We've witnessed the beginnings of a socialist govt. over the last 8 years, but before that remember the Supreme Court removed our right to elect our President. Have we been sleeping? There are just a mere 10% of the population who want to dominate and claim ownership of this country. They figure the remaining 90% are too stupid to figure anything out. This year we will see the greatest number of voter fraud. It's already started. Putnam County in Ohio has already saw democratic votes reverse to republican. 10 years ago Ohio won the right by the Ohio Supreme Court to redistrict the state to favor republican votes. I'm not surprised.

Most people expect someone else will speak up. Most people wait for change silently. Most people do nothing about the loss of our rights and wonder why our government is failing.
The time is long overdue for people to speak up without waiting for someone else to do their job, without just complaining about the government, but participating in it and outlawing corrupt voting machines. The time is long overdue. The picture is not good now; it will get much worse if we do not all stand up and protest against the voting fraud in progress!
I printed the fist response from my jerk of a representative. Let's see some of your responses. Post them on this thread, so we can see what these politicians think about stealing votes. Let's start seeing some action and not just lip service. -

Something I have noticed lately is that once bloggers grab a hold onto a story or circumstance the media starts paying attention and so do the representatives. They do have their ears to the blogg.

We can make a difference on the internet by passing it around, getting every one we know and contacting every site we know about our concerns with the voting machines not being accurate. Perhaps, just maybe by election day they will give us a pencil and piece of paper......just a thought.
You can start it off with one of your wonderful videos on Youtube and call it "Save Our Vote"........just a thought. -

I have been a neighbour to your country for all my life and have always admired the American people and at times have admired even your politicians when they ave had to make tough choices. I willnever lose faith in the American people but have lost complete faith in those who run your country and that goes for both sides. To me there was voter fraud last time and since no one really was help responsible it will now be something that is just part of politics. I think that in both of our countries the separation between politicians and ordinary people have allowed politicians to do as they please whether it is right or wrong.
I wish we could go back to a time where a politician was a person who at some time in their life had gone home dog tired and dirty, or had to decide on what food items to take home and what items to leave on the shelf, or had to worry if their health insurance would cover all the emergencies that come up. These are things that ordinary people have to worry about whether they are liberal or conservative. The new world order has begun but it seems all politicians work for those who have much and ignore the ordinary person. The reason I feel so strongly about this right now is because of the events of the last little while that have made sure that the truely wealthy will be bailed out at the expense of the ordinary person and this movement is worldwide. It seems the idea of democracy has been lost to those in power and greed or power is all that matters.
Voter fraud is just a symptom of a much larger disease.-

I am really glad you posted that comment "cr", because I don't want to be judged by the mis deeds and corruption of my government. It is wonderful to know that other people in other countries don't hold our government against us and have seen what they did to us when they stole the election which then brought forth the bankruptcy of the world..

We have become a corporatist kleptocracy. Our governor was heavily petitioned to provide a paper trail to accompany the electronic voting machines. He promised it would happen over a year ago...but now the feature won't be added until January (after the election).

How about that! If I were elected the 1st thing I would do is outlaw the GOP. Just like they outlawed the communist party in Russia after glasnost. They are no better. -
