It was just before John McCain's last run at the presidential
nomination in 2000 that my husband and I vacationed in Turtle
Island in Fiji with John McCain, Cindy, and their children,
including Bridget (their adopted Bangladeshi child).

Unfortunately this was not his only contribution to our mealtime entertainment. He waxed on during one meal about how Indo-Chine women had the best figures and that our American corn-fed women just couldn't meet up to this standard. He also made it a point that all of us should stop Cindy from having dessert as her weight was too high and made a few comments to Amy, the 25 year old wife of the honeymooning couple from Nebraska that she should eat less as she needed to lose weight.
This is a letter to the editor, telling of the unfortunant events of having to share close quarters with John McCain. An honest account.. Scary as hell!-

I stopped reading when I got to the part puprtedly quoting his comments about his adopted daughter. The letter reflects more on the letter-writer than on McCain or his family. Was this a satire? Was the writer trying to channel the extreme comments against Obama and illustrate how they would sound coming from the other side??

This was found to be not a valid post and the liberals go into defense mode to defend it. A lot of the letter is not characteristic of John McCain. But since it denigrates him it must be true.
Then there was the post that Karlyc posted and libs went overboard about attacking her and all conservatives blaming them for everything bad about posting the story.
Big change of tune with a discredited story.
If it attacks conservatives it must be true.
If it attacks liberals it is an obvious lie. -

I wonder how many other "McCain" stories are out there???
Anyway......only 2 weeks to go, I am getting so tired of all this, it has been 2 years of campaigning and 8 years of failed politics.-

What's scary is you obama-ites have been drinking the Kool aide a LITTLE TOO LONG. This is obviously a fabricated story, much like the chain email and hoaxes. The claimed "author" of the story was a woman but in the story she says that the author defended his wife. C'mon people.....If obama makes it to the WH you people will see what happens to the great USA. I for one will pull out all of my investments and move them overseas before he gets in to office. I will probably end up firing 2-3 of my employees if I now have to provide them healthcare and pay more taxes. It will cost me too much. And guess which ones will lose their jobs first, it won't be the ones making 20,000, no it will be the ones making 60,000. I gross over $250K but net far less after paying for everything. Obama will kill small businesses.

FYI The person that supposedly wrote the letter refuses to talk to the press about it. What does that say about the letter? Her name is Anasuya Dubey is the daughter of an Indian Consul General. Is that a letter someone like that would write?

You libs need to try again. Why do you believe the worst about McCain. Several things about the story ring false after listening to Senators on both sides of the aisle talk about the person that McCain is. Your fellow liberal Senators talk about a different kind of person than this letter portrays. These are people who live and work with him day after day. -

Then I remembered that the most believable testimony is fleshed out with background details of relative insignificance, such as weather, time of day, names, meals, etc.
Reading that the letter is signed, and posted by two noteworthy individuals in their own right, was the clincher.

Ps...I knew McCain was consorting with pigs, I didn't realize he was such a pig himself. -

Woah. I've heard banter about some major character flaws (there are so many stories), but this is such a powerful account because of the elapsed time that the writer had to experience his personality. What a shameful display it must have been.

Yes I read the other comments.
Having observed McCains behavior, his temper tantrums, his treatment of others in the Senate, his overbearing demeanor stating he knows it all. I find this to be highly possible.
McCain left his first wife, who waited for him while he was a prisoner of war. He went with Cindy while they were still married. He has been rumored to have been running around with other women while on the campaign trail.
I stand by my statement that he reminds me on an obnoxious and odious character. To full of himself to realize that others don't really like or care for his behavior.
Now if you are going to try and tell me that my opinion is posted on snopes as crap that will be different. LMAO hahahahahahahahaa -

I have noticed before that certain partisan individuals will refer to something being proven or disproven by snopes.com. Then when I go and read it myself, I find that they are misrepresenting what snopes.com is actually saying. Do they really think that none of us are going to check, or is it more of a problem of reading comprehension on their part?

The woman who is attributed with penning this article claims it didn't happen which is common venom that the democratic party tries to distribute when they lack the capacity on the issues.

Here is a better one.
One of the people this letter is attributed to says she didn't write it. This is also attributed to a woman named Anasuya Dubey. Attempts to reach her to verify that she is the author and that the letter is accurate haven't produced anything yet. Hence this letter's "Undetermined" status in Snopes.
However: There's no evidence that the Democratic Party tried to distribute this, just as there's no evidence the Republican Party distributed the many email smears about Barack Obama. And the rest of the answer is just political slander. -

Does anyone have the story about what happened between Mccain and his first wife? I heard she became disabled and McCain divorced her. Is this true? If this is true how much empathy can he really have for special needs children if he divorces his own wife in her time of need.
