Pretty words and rhetoric can not hold for ever, as with the refusal to answer questions of the voter. Also you can not hide the truth for ever, it will eventually come to light. My grand mother used to say this about lies,"your chickens will come home to roost".Looks like Obama's chickens have arrived.
This is supposed to be an election for president not PR rock star. You are hiring the CEO of Firm USA. Who do you want to run the firm, a manager with over 25 years experience or the newly hired stockboy?
If you complain about Palin's experience to be VP candidate where does that leave Obama? She has more real experience than he has. Or is Obama really running as Biden's VP?

I'll take the stockboy if it will make you shut up about him!

For the sake of all that is good and holy, stop peddling your PR Rock Star manager vs. Stockboy speech. It's old. It's an inappropriate metaphor as I've pointed out time and time again.

McCain and Obama CURRENTLY HAVE THE SAME JOB.

At most, the logical analogy boils down to newly hired manager vs. manager with 25 years experience.

Palin's inexperience is principally the fact that she has never held a federal office. She may know how the Alaskan government (with it's gargantuan population of less than a million people) is operated, but she has had NO opportunity to watch the goings on at the federal level.

So let's use your Firm USA analogy. Who do you want to be running things?
The Manager of 25 years who has promised that should he retire early, he will pass all the responsibility on to his favourite niece (don't worry, she has experience running her VERY OWN lemonade stand -- okay, that might not be fair, let's call it a car dealership. Plus, he'll teach her all she needs to know about Firm USA while she's on the job!).
Or, would you hire the Manager of only 2 years, who will have the assistance of a manager of 35 years, and has said that that experienced manager will take over if need be.

You know, when I use your Firm USA example properly, it really makes the Obama/Biden team look a LOT stronger than McCain/Palin.
For the sake of simplicity, let's let 1000 populace = 1 employee.

Obama = High marks and high achievement in prestigious College he got into on his own merit. Working as a Senior Manager at Firm USA (300,000 employees) for 2 years, 2 years prior experience in Detroit Inc. (with 13,000 employees). Will take Biden under his wing and groom him for leadership in case of early retirement.
Biden = Working as Senior Manager at Firm USA for 35 years.

McCain = Nearly flunked out of College his family got him into because of lousy work ethic. Working as Senior Manager at Firm USA for 25 years, spent 5 previous years locked in a supply closet at Firm Vietnam where as a junior clerk for Firm USA he participated in a hostile takeover attempt. Will take his 'niece' Palin (who no-one at Firm USA has really heard of before) under his wing, and groom her to take over in case he (finally) retires.
Palin = Has never worked for Firm USA, doesn't really know what it does. Spent the last 2 years running Alaska Inc. (670 employees) and before that ran Wasilla Ltd. (10 employees).

Do you seriously believe that McCain's judgement in choosing Palin is sound. His age MUST be considered (he's ALREADY older than the average age of death for past presidents). Does running a relatively small business qualify Palin to be in charge of a business nearly FIVE HUNDRED TIMES as large? A business that makes products (read: foreign policy) she's never even heard of?

Obama may not have experience running the show, but at least he knows what the show is!
