This incident was covered on KXAN TV News Tuesday night.
There was a good article in the Austin American Statesman.
In western Hays County, Texas, at around 8PM Sunday night 19 October, thugs trashed my car while I was having dinner with some friends.
Out in the country. Miles from anywhere.
My "Obama 08" bumper sticker was torn off the right rear bumper, a 20-lb rock was dropped through the back window, 2 stolen Obama yard signs were shoved through the gaping hole in the window, and a cryptic almost "OBAHA" (or something...) was scrawled in orange spray-paint on the drivers side front and back doors and windows.

The threats against Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's office come in the wake of a rash of recent burglaries and vandalism at ACORN offices in Massachusetts and Seattle, as well as death threats delivered to a number of their workers following much-hyped media reports of "voter fraud" by the community organization. The attacks against the group escalated following the Republican Presidential nominee John McCain's comments about ACORN "voter fraud" at a recent rally, and his extraordinary allegation that ACORN was "on the verge of maybe perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history in this country, maybe destroying the fabric of democracy" at last week's Presidential debate.
Notably, there has been no actual evidence of any such "voter fraud" by ACORN, simply allegations by many on the right.

There is no doubt Obama said to get into the face of a non-supporter. Marxist/anarchist Ayers who supports Obama supports just such acts of violence and clearly so do many other liberal loons. So, it doesn't surprise me that people are scared of even putting on a bumper sticker for McCain or tell someone they are voting for McCain/Palin. This is how bad this election has gotten, but we could see it coming over the years. Now with race in the play you really have to be careful who you speak to. ACORN is radical and supports Obama and visa versa it is no wonder people are scared. If Obama looses this election you can rest assured there will be riots. Our country is definitely in big trouble.

Frank Armstrong was preparing to go for a jog this morning when he noticed his Lexus – adorned with a McCain-Palin sticker - had been vandalized with obscenities and a burned American flag.
Armstrong discovered the damage to his 2006 Lexus about 8:30 a.m. at his Sand Key condominium at 1400 Gulf Blvd. Clearwater police and Armstrong said someone etched obscenities and "KKK" into the paint, burned several areas of the car with cigarettes, set the flag on fire on his hood and may have urinated on the vehicle.
Officers and Armstrong think the car was singled out because of its political stickers, including one reading "Nobama."
"This is definitely a hate crime," said Armstrong, a 41-year-old physician.

CALEDONIA, Wis. -- Police in Caledonia are investigating the assault of a campaign volunteer as she was canvassing for Senator Barack Obama Saturday afternoon.
In an exclusive interview with 12 News, 58 year-old Nancy Takehara of Chicago says she was going door-to-door when she came across a disgruntled homeowner.
“The next thing I know he’s telling us we’re not his people, we’re probably with ACORN, and he started screaming and raving,” Takehara said. “He grabbed me by the back of the neck. I thought he was going to rip my hair out of my head. He was pounding on my head and screaming. The man terrified me.”
The man eventually stopped and the Caledonia police were called.....

I'm not saying she wasn't attacked by someone, but how do we know it was by an Obama supporter...just because she says so? What better way for a McCain supporter to make headlines after being simply robbed than by claiming it was by an Obama supporter?
Looks like it could have been a case of robbery, but until the woman talks more about it, gets an exam (she refused medical attention, which is sort of odd for a woman who claims the initial "B" was "carved" on her cheek) making wild conjectures about the assailant being an Obama supporter taking revenge sounds a bit far-fetched... -

My wife just called me to mention that along a two mile stretch of Harlem Road in Franklin and Delaware counties, every Obama/Biden sign has been ripped down or destroyed - including some giant billboard-style yard signs. Every single one. This is a stretch of road we travel every day to get to our little horse farm, so we are quite familiar with who has Obama signs, and who has McCain signs.
The McCain signs are untouched. The Obama signs are all gone....

Go to a mirror and draw a b on your face with washable marker, if you can't visualize it yourself. It will look just like the b in the picture. She's a young woman, 20. After being attacked and reporting it to the police did she seek immediate medical help to fix what could be permanent damage/scarring to her young face? No. She REFUSED medical help. Now why would a woman supposedly attacked by a robber refuse medical help if she had a letter carved into her head? Could it be that she knew she would be caught for faking the 'carving' if a doctor looked at it? Probably.
How did the robber recognize that she was a McCain/Palin supporter? She claims he saw a bumpersticker on her car. The car wasn't running and it was parked with other cars near the ATM, so how did he connect it to her? That's right. Yet another question.
Occam's Razor. Would someone who just robbed another person right in front of an ATM camera pause to scratch a letter into their head for a political statement? The razor says no.
It's only a matter of time before this comes out as yet another disgusting political stunt by McCain/Palin. -

This story has turned out to be a hoax. It has been reported (on AOL no less) that the McCain worker in this video 1. Refused medical treatment for the assault, which leaves the whole incident suspect and 2. The "B" was backwards which is confusing the police that are investigating the incident anyway. This is another low-down promotion of lies that has come out of the McCain/Palin campaign of lies!

If he was upset for her voting for McCain/Palin over Obama (which is the claim she's making despite being scratched with 'B' for some reason instead of O) then it was politically motivated.

The alleged victim claims that she was at an ATM in Pittsburgh when the alleged assailant approached her, robbed her of $60, then, noticing she had a McCain bumper sticker, beat her, and carved a ‘B’ into her cheek with a knife. As the photo indicates, the assailant must have done the deed very carefully, as not to cause permanent damage. The incident, although it had been claimed to happen right near the ATM, shows no evidence of the assault on the ATM’s security camera.
If Ashley Todd’s claims are false, this could be a media nightmare for the already beleaguered campaign that many charge with untruths meant to show their opponent as a terrorist and child molester.
A curious aspect to the photograph is the ‘B’ is backwards, as if the assailant carved the letter into the alleged victim’s cheek while looking in a mirror. More on this story as the investigation continues. Check back early, and often.

Question: Why would the police allow her to walk away from the scene without going to a hospital? In an attack there would be a struggle, the suspect could have left a hair, skin, and other things that would leave a DNA sample behind.
