Karlyc: "Here is another article on another attack by Obama partisans on McCain supporters"
Reply
Do you know the difference between fact and assumption (or truth and lie for that matter)? There is not a shred of evidence in either of these cases that the attacker was an Obama supporter.
Do you know the difference between scratching and carving? In your titles, you should stick to the story as reported.
Do you know the difference between the letter B and its mirror image? I guess it's safe to assume that when the attacker scratched the letter B into the victim's face, he was facing the victim, so it would be logical that, unless he was left-handed, he would scratch the letter into her left cheek and that we, who are facing the victim, would see the letter B and not its mirror image. If, on the other hand, the scratch was made by the victim herself, then both the right cheek and the mirror image make perfect sense. I'm not saying that she did it, because I don't know. All I'm saying is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions before all the facts are in.-

"apparently because of her political views, Pittsburgh police said........Friends said she is in Pittsburgh volunteering for the McCain-Palin campaign...............The Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, commenting on the attack. The statement said, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice."
Thanks sherlock-

Apparently that Obama and his staff have more class and compassion than some of his supporters that post here.

No one, no matter who we support, should excuse or revel in the lunatic behaviour of the fringe crazies. No matter who wins, we are all Americans that will have to face and live with one another after November.-

OK Candida,

reveling........the back and forth tit for tat, my side this, your side that. It may not have been the best word I could have used, but it seems to me that the story of this girl attacked or delusional enough to do it to herself, is a sad story.
The same old name calling, repug, democrap. It's as though no one really cares about the girl, not really. She's just chum for some to chew up and spit out as another hate fest. Your challendge of me is an example of the feeding frenzy. I specified Obama in my post because I was responding to a post that quoted the Obama campaign. I gave them credit for being good people. Follow the example of your chosen leader. Spit out the toxic poison, don't swallow it, or is it too late?-

So lets see the back and forth tit for tat? Last aI looked Karly is a right wing Poster who put this article out her to somehow imply it was Obama who called for this. When she gets called on this there is this feigned outrage of chewing the victim and spitting her out??? ROFLMAO, lets not forget it seems she was useful to the righties as a possible news stoiry and it was the right who distorted what happened to her into an attack by political opponents using her to further their own goals.

Now that we all know it was a stupid hoax........you still won't see that I automatically supported this girl, I said it was a sad story because I looked at the pic, I didn't believe her. I didn't, for me personally, want call her a liar before having more information. I saw people who did, but not being nasty about it. That's discussion, no problem. I have seen many thoughtful people here that, whether I agree with them or not, don't automatically start the name calling as though trashing one another is more important than the article under discussion. I didn't comment specifically on Karlyc, I called out both sides for the feeding frenzy.

I do specifically comment on this kind of story and those who post them. The person in question has a history here of posting stories that seem more designed to stir up hatred and violence than anything else. Many of the stories are subsequently shown to be false (and many are pretty preposterous to begin with).

There is no "seeming" about it, hyperbola. Karlyc and other cons' stories are meant to poison the internet with negative stories (true or not) about Obama. They know it's wrong to shoot now and ask questions later. They just don't care.

the really sad part Candida, is it doesn't even matter if it IS true
an Obama supporter commttied a crime, a McCain supporter committed a crime
there's a freakin news story-it wouldn't surprise me if ALL criminals had a political opinion and liked one of the candidates more than the other
I always know when something is really stupid-you know how? When even a word machine like me is incapable of pointing out WHY something is stupid-that's how I know something is absurd
explaining why this is dumb is like explaining to someone why going out in th rain heightens ones chances of getting wet
an Obama or McCain supporter did something bad...does it reflect on the candidates? no. Does it reflect on other Obama and McCain supporters? no.
why not?
again, how to even explain something so obvious...people are individuals-we know this is scientific fact because we have different bodies and can occupy two different places at once. One guy who believes something can be good, one guy who believes the same thing can be bad. 'Not all who say Lord Lord...' etc etc. A bad Christian does not reflect on Christ, and also does not reflect on other Christians.
I go on to read a little more to see if the 'Obama attacker' is left as fill in the blanks fodder or anyone actually says 'see, Obama bad, supporters bad'. I'm betting on generalized negativity and open-ended 'reporting on the news, not what the news means' and allowing insinuation and inference to do the legwork.
But who knows, I may be surprised -

You need to understand with the right its much more dramatic to jump to conclusions then to wait for the facs. Its seems to be a trait that frames that group. Look at Bush and his rush to war, instead of allowing the inspectors to finish i.e. letting the facts come out, he moved to STOP THAT and rushed into a war of lies. The worst thing that can happen to the right wing IS the facts coming out that totally removes the poor me Im a victim play they seem to love to use now.

Did you ever think that the victim was up side down to her attacker? This would make a backwards B and be reason for it to be on the left cheek. But I am sure that is beyond your reasoning powers.

Maybe you should not jump to conclusions!
