You are right Pinky. Suppose I was to quote Obama as saying, "I believe. . .communism. . . . is good for America." TECHNICALLY Obama has spoken those words. But not in that order or context. So if I were to attribute the above quote to Obama, I would be lieing through my teeth just as Griffin did.
Actually, I don't believe Griffin intentionally lied. I believe he never read the article from which he made that quote. He was just reading cue cards.

  If that's true, your last paragraph, he should be fired for incompetence. I'd say the same if it had been Obama/Biden. This wasn't just any interview, it was a candidate for the Vice Presidency, less than 2 weeks before the election.
