Attempts to suppress African-Americans from voting should never be dismissed or ignored. This music video featuring Joan Baez is about the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing that occurred in Alabama. Many civil rights leaders used the church as a meeting-place; among them were Martin Luther King, Ralph David Abernathy and Fred Shutterworth. I'm not old enough to remember this event, but I surely remember George Wallace. It nearly took his own "first-class funeral" for him to see the light.
    Good video Spadecaller.

A good timely piece SC. It's a good time to remind us that the domestic terrorism of the civil rights era isn't that far behind us.

The GOP knows that as minorities increase in this country --- whites are estimated to be the minority in 2050 --- they need to suppress their votes if they want to win.

Anyone look at how pale the GOP convention was?
