Romanian man puts wife up for sale »
Posted By JamesMarcus 1 year, 1 month ago in NewsA Romanian man has put his 25-year-old wife up for sale on a website specialising in used cars.
Alex Cretu, 20, who lives in Bucharest, hoped to get around $8 million but has lowered his price to $6,000 for a quick sale. His ad on www.okazii.ro reads: "Wife for sale. Model 1983, good condition. Full option, nice suspensions, spacious boot, second owner. Price is negotiable, comes with three-year-old and five-year-old accessories. Seriousness demanded."
Alex says he placed his ad on the site partly because he had got fed up of his wife nagging him all of the time and partly as a joke.

This kind of post reveals why there is serious dysfunction in the family and family values by dismissing women and treating them as property. I experienced this kind of disrespect in my own family, and the dysfunction continues today. Disrespect toward women is at the heart of the many problems we face.

I ask you...
What if men treated the Mothers of their children properly?
What if men treated Women with respect, and paid child support?
What if women did not have to foot the bill for the broken family and had the support of the man that fathered their children?
What if men, stepped up and took responsibility of the families they created?
What if we could stop laughing at stupid post like this, and ask these questions each independently?
Google how many single women are having to go it alone.
If the man were more apparent and responsible in the lives of those that they entered into, the world would be a much better place.
But, as it is, men are fleeing from their responsibility and men are making jokes and posting comedic stories about other mens failures.
Sad.-

I agree with you whole heartedly..When we marry, we expect our spouses(women) t care for us through thick and thin. We take vows to love and honor till eath do us part. I take my wedding vows seriously. I can say that there are times when my spouse does things that I differ with, but I sure wouldn't place him on the auction block..Even as a joke..Some men and women as well have "NO" family values. They do "not" respect each other. My husband and I have much respect for one another, and I also know that I do things he differs with but nothing comes between us..We have an older son that tried to cause trouble (my step son) but even he has found hat "NO" matter what he does it won't stop us from being together..So after 'all" this time he has finally stopped and leaves us in peace. He has finally accepted that we are commited to being together..He always thought it would e jut him and hisfather, even though he was 32 when he moved to Florida to stay with us till he got his own place. It has been fur yrs now and he is still livng with us..He is about to find that his living here is soon to end and he needs to find his own place. We want our house back to ourselves. We have a teenage daughter still in high school and we are raising a grand daughter at the same time. Family is very important to us both, but there comes a time when the children must move on in life. He told us he felt like he didn't have to pay anything to live here, but he uses our Internet, phone, electricity, and water just as the rest of us do. His father told him then it was time e got out and found out what it was like to live and pay for his own place. He complained it would take half his paycheck to do that, his father said yea it will. What do you think we do each month while you eat, live free..Heis an alcoholic to boot..We have just about had it up to our ears(so to speak)..

Its so sad to keep seeing women being downgraded...even by joking with it. In my own workplace (a library) a majority of the workers are women. When a problem comes up, or an important question needs to be answered, most of the female supervisors say "Oh go as HIM, he's in charge." It's sad because I see it happen every time I work. Its like reluctantly giving in to assumed authority of men. As for all us women out there, keep up your dignity and don't get walked over...and if anything...do not take humor in sexist jokes, especially coming from men.
