McCain Buses in 4,000 School Children to Fill Crowd at Small Rally! »
Posted By dmwhipp 1 year, 1 month ago in Political NewsThursday, October 30, 2008:
John McCain held a rally in Defiance, Ohio, today with an estimated crowd of 6,000 people. Apparently two thirds of that crowd were school children which were bused in to fill the crowd. This is the same rally in which Mccain announced Joe the Plumber and called to Joe to introduce him to the crowd, but Joe was nowhere to be found ( see video below ). Joe must have been out getting a beer or something.

I love McCain's comment about learning more about Obama in the last two weeks than the last two years, McCain still hasn't told anyone what he intends to do. He has spent all his time trying to tear down Obama. -

When I first read this story I thought it funny that they had to bus in school kids but after thinking about it I had some real questions come to mind. Was this a planned field trip with permission slips signed by parents or a spur of the moment thing? With a number that large I would hope it was planned. Is there any plan to give the other side equal time? Probably way too late for that. I really think this was a very poor decision by whoever was responsible for it. Some of the McCain rallys have gotten a little nasty lately, not a thing you want your child exposed to. What ages were involved and how was it justified as school related?

On the positive side, this was probably the most accurate McCain/Palin crowd estimate since the convention.

Both funny and sad. I wonder if they'll all be required to write a report on their little field trip.

People, if you support Obama, PLEASE, get out and vote. Despite the polls, really aren't looking that good here in Florida and I have no doubt that the Republicans will do everything they can to sabotage this election process - they already are.
Standing in line for a few hours will be worth it. I already did. -

GO VOTE FOR OBAMA!

MickDavidsons is right. Already in areas that are largely democratic or with high African-American populations we are seeing they do not have enough voting machines and/or machines are broken. This causes long lines that last for hours and obviously discourages people from voting. Surprisingly, high income, heavily Republican areas do not usually have the same problem...
I have already cast my ballot for Obama and it was worth every second in line. I don't want to hear one person bitch if Obama loses if they didn't take the time to vote and encourage everyone else around them to do so too. -
