Cracker and whitey are certainly racist terms.

However they don't have the weight of 200+ years of slavery, abuse, murder, rape and torture behind them, as the n-word does.

  Hey, I don't mind being called a cracker. I hate it when any white person not from Fla, Ga or Al is called one. Its a regional term it had nothing to do with slavery it was about the way cattle was herded back in the day.

  Cracker is only a racist term becuse it has been hijacked. Where and the history of why, I don't know. I've always wondered, haven't found been able to find it yet. Anyone know? I do know, originally a cracker was a Florida cowoy. It referred to the crack of the whip. cattle were in Florida 17 years before the southwest, and the first cattle men were called cow hunters.
