I was looking for other current polls and found this --

They regularly post current election polls.
And the Zogby main page has a daily tracking poll of the presidential race (www.zogby.com)-

I've met five people today who all said they' weren't voting. They know how important this election but hate all the ads, hate that there are no term limits for any political position, hate that an average Joe can't really run an effective campaign, hate both parties and don't (at least in MN) like the third parties (We have Green Party, MN Independence Party and I think Libertarian) choices for office either. They're fed up and are tired of not being heard and being used.

Palin is just reading words that are given to her by her handlers. she doesn't even know the context of those words. she's just a pull-string doll with only six responses.

Had a nightmare last night, that it was Wednesday morning and the headlines read that McCain/Palin had won by 3 percentage points and about 30 electoral votes. My dreams aren't usually predictive, but I still took it as a warning.
Reply
I've looked over the predictions by the article. Here in Minnesota, it isn't clear that Bachman is going to lose. She and Tinklenberg-D are running neck and neck in a highly conservative district. Of the states counted as undecided, I'm certain that Obama will win MN, IA, NM, MI, PA, and NH. That still leaves him 6 short. If he wins any of the others considered in play (except NV-5) he will have it. Those states are OH, FL, MO, VA, NC, CO and IN. He only has to get one. -

Wasn't Rasmussen the poll the cons were touting a few days ago and insisting how accurate it was when it had McBush and Obama close?
Reply
Now I'll wait to see what spin they give this latest poll. I don't put much confidence in polls, but this does sound promising to those wanting change.-

I also hope it's a total landslide.

Not because the Republicans need to be punished nor because the Democrats are so far superior, but I think it would send a clear message that they can no longer expect an attack-based campaign to work.
The McCain campaign has focused so much on negatives. It's unacceptable. I would welcome a Republican win if they campaigned positively, by encouraging right-leaning voters to vote FOR the candidate, rather than trying to scare them into voting against the Democrat and attempting to discourage or prevent left-leaning voters from showing up.
Ironically, McCain SHOULD have been that welcome candidate. I liked him best in the republican primaries... and then the attacks started and never let up, and I have no respect for a man who bases his chances not on his own merits, but on the faults of his opponent.

Well I do think God has reserved a place for every candidate, past & present. Obama/Biden for the White House. Lieberman moves to Israel. Palin travels with the ultra religious right wing Taliban through Afghanistan. Bush/Cheney move to Guantanamo Bay for war crimes. McCain, well that's a tough one cause he's already so old...we could have an election and decide where people want him to live... peacefully...and where he can make angry faces...I have an idea, the circus! Anyone got any better ideas?

That's because Kerry DID win Ohio and did actually win the election.
Reply
However, thanks largely to Ken Blackwell, the election in Ohio was STOLEN by the Republicans.
All the exit polls clearly showed that Kerry had won Ohio. Even all the news people said so until around 2 am the next morning.
Audits were conducted on all of the exit poll data. The review concluded that there was nothing wrong with their data or the polling methods.
Freeman laboriously examined the raw polling data released by Edison/Mitofsky in January 2005. "I'm not even political — I despise the Democrats," he says. "I'm a survey expert. I got into this because I was mystified about how the exit polls could have been so wrong." In his forthcoming book, Was the 2004 Presidential Election Stolen? Exit Polls, Election Fraud, and the Official Count, Freeman lays out a statistical analysis of the polls that is deeply troubling.
"When you look at the numbers, there is a tremendous amount of data that supports the supposition of election fraud," concludes Freeman. "The discrepancies are higher in battleground states, higher where there were Republican governors, higher in states with greater proportions of African-American communities and higher in states where there were the most Election Day complaints. All these are strong indicators of fraud — and yet this supposition has been utterly ignored by the press and, oddly, by the Democratic Party."

Nothing wrong with the polls - just with your opinions OF them when they don't agree with what you 'think'.-

I guess you didn't hear about it but there were tow convictions that stemmed out of the 2004 elections in Ohio.

Two election officials went to jail for failure to count ballots. I guess they disposed of a bunch of ballots, and it caught up with them.

I distinctly remember back in the last election, about 3 or 4 days out. Rasmussen was predicting the same exact thing. KERRY will win by a LAND SLIDE!
Reply
Even the exit polls were saying, KERRY WINNING BY A LAND SLIDE.
So, you can take these worthless left wing polls and run with them if you like. But they have been proven over and over in the past that they mean nothing. In fact, I think they may mean just the opposite of what they are saying in these corrupt lefty polls. They do this in an attempt to discourage the Republicans from turning out to vote. The news media does the same thing. So Sorry, we are not Buying it :-) -

The American people will reject the Atwater/Rovian era of campaign philosophy. People are tired of campaigns run entirely on negative advertising. The majority of the voting electorate is now sophisticated enough - thank God - to see through the fear and paranoia promoted by the GOP and their cultish fanatics.
Reply
The pendulum has swung back toward the light. This rendition of the GOP will be searching for its soul after this election. The Libertarians have the best shot at the second party slot. This is a sad moratorium for a once proud party that now looks like a bunch of lemmings. -

First of all, if he is their Massiah, I'll bet it still takes 6 years to get even a little bit of our economy back, and by then both of theses candidates will be history. I just hope they don't sell us out to the UN or the Arabs.
Of course, we always have those guns and Bible s we cling to if it gets too rough.-

Bush's family has had 2 decades of business relationships with the Saudi Royalty & Bin Laden's family. Cheney, more recently, formed business relationships with the Sheikhs in Dubai & established a Halliburton office in Dubai...travel in the Middle East. The newspapers there show photographs of our current President & VP on the best of terms with the Middle East leaders. It's Bush/Cheney who sold us out to the Arabs and big oil corporations...and McCain/Palin, who want a piece of the pie! Drill Baby drill? yeah right! McCain & Palin are getting an o.r.g.a.s.m just thinking about all the oil profits they want to make when in power...Obama/Biden 2008!!! -

Fsu, way above, you do yourself, not to mention your position, a great disservice by being so mean-spirited.

Your name-calling is absolutely emblematic of the Palin/Rep. approach to political persuasion: the ad hominem attack and cheap slander.
Provocation can work in a limited fashion only. What you do is cheap and says more about you than it does about your "targets." -

You guys on the left are so correct. This will be a huge landslide. I'd start partying right now. Get loaded big time. Then when Wednesday rolls around and you realize your team didn't win, you'll be to hung over to riot and tear up the place.
