    More from the article:

    "A statistical tie".

McCain also pulled even in the Midwest, moved back into the lead with men, padded his gains among Protestants and Catholics, and is favored for the first time by high school graduates.

All you need to look at are the states where they have been campaigning last week. The internal polls the campaigns do seem to be more accurate and let the candidate know where the race is the closest

It looks like there is a clear trend to McCain. Whether it will continue and be enough to overcome the ACORN fraud is the big question.

for a more complete look at the polls:

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/presi...

they take an average of all the major national polls.

today Obama has a 7.5 point edge.

Gallup has Obama up by 11
CBS has Obama up by 13
ABC/Wash Post has Obama up by 11
Fox has Obama up by 7

yesterday the RCP average had Obama up with a 6.5 point edge.

so, contrary to the con fantasy being posted here, the spread is increasing in Obama's favor. not the other way around.

Well , looks like a lot of Obama's supporters may as well stay home and keep that crack pipe going. He's far enough ahead in the polls he doesn't need their help.

Well, no matter if Obama or McCain wins, it will be interesting to watch the "unbiased" media. If Obama wins we will hear about how the air is somehow a little purer and the sun a little brighter. If McCain wins we can watch them slowly wilt and wonder how the world went so dim. Watching a wilting media darling is somehow so much more satisfying.

Yes, tomorrow is a big day...

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." --Abraham Lincoln

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." Norman Thomas - Socialist Party of America presidential candidate

The "vote for me and I'll tax the other guy and give his money to you" bribery game is not new:

"To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers' has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, “the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, and the fruits acquired by it”. Thomas Jefferson 1816

"Taxes on consumption like those on capital or income, to be just, must be uniform." Thomas Jefferson 1823

        Seems Nostradamus predicted McCain:

        At the war's end:
The Feeble Kept One will strike down the Night
And his Imbecile Queen will rise from the snow
Bedecked in finery and the pelt of a wolf
