For the last several months I have been volunteering and assisting the Obama campaign. I have made more phone calls in the last 2 months than I made in the preceding 2 years. I have knocked on the doors of strangers and had rude things said to my face and behind my back by folks who did not agree with me. I have given some of my time and my talent, some of my money and prayers.

Now I can say that it was worth it.
