Homosexuals & lesbians although repugnant to many heterosexuals, are still human beings. Homosexuals are not to blame for their genetic aberration. That having been said, accordingly they should be able to enter into a legal binding entity as marriage. It shall not, however be forced on religious institutions where homosexuals are not tolerated. Islam for example does not allow homosexuals.

Homosexuals will have to be content that since if they remain true to their own, can never have children & therefor no requirement to be married in church. Civil ceremony should be a right afforded all human beings, and church - heterosexuals.

When you pick up one end of the stick - you pick up the other.

Are you totally ignorant and always have been, or have you had to work so hard to be that stupid?

That said, I am a gay man with 3 children. I am married to a female, that is true. It does not change my sexual identity. I was married by the State and by a church years ago. As far as all 50 states are concerned my marriage is valid. However, gay people who are wed in Connecticut and Massachusetts are not able to transfer their marriages to any other state except New York. No church was forced to wed me.

It irks me to no end, that in the 21st Century, some on propeller, and elsewhere, claim I am somehow aberrant. Folks, a certain percentage of the population always has been gay. Barring any scientific and moral landslides into the abyss, we shall always have gay folks among us.

David, serious question ... If you fell in love with a gay man, would you have a secret affair or would you entertain divorcing your wife, leaving her and the children to fend for themselves. If not, why not?

Why would he leave his children? He is their father. Would you leave your children? Obviously living arrangements would have to be worked out, but that's the same as in any divorce. I know a young man who was raised by his gay father and his partner after the parents got divorced. That should depend on the circumstances of the family.

Why would he leave his children? Hell if I know, that's why I asked. Would I leave my children? I'm not gay. What I would do or not do is not answering the question I asked of David. Living arrangements? With a gay lover and a wife and children ?? You're kidding of course. What would that be, one week with the wife and kids and one week with whatshisname? Or is there an addition to the house for whatshisname? I think I'd rather hear from David on this one. Or even more interesting would be to hear from the wife and kids.

What I meant was: Would you leave your children if you got divorced?

Not having been nor going to be in that situation, it's impossible to give a reasonable answer. However, I do believe that it would depend on whether the children are grown up and on their own by the time that decisiion would have to be made. It's a loaded question at best and one that should be answered by David since he is in that situation. I am in no way attempting to denigrate his situation, just curious since he was the one that brought it up in the first place.
