U so right.

Beyond that, we need to shift decision-making down the heirarchic ladder in any way we can. Part of the problem with America is simply this - our federalist system, with much of the power concentrated at the national level, is simply too much power in too small a place, and that power draws elitists, greedheads and opportunists like crap draws flies.

Whatever. We have a lot of work to do. Voting people into power won't help, to the degree that the problem is structural. As an anarcho friend observed, "no gain in voting the bastards out if what you vote them out of doesn't change."
