What a shame! I've read all his books and was always looking forward to what he would come up with next.

I've read everything except the last one. I am a huge fan. This is a loss, and it's sad that he was so young.

Awww. I'm reading one of his books right now. For the 6th or 7th time. He was one of the best.

I've read several of his books. They are good stories. They are also easy reads so are good choices for young teens who think they're too old for childrens books. I've used them to keep my kids reading. My condolences to his family.

I thought this guy was brilliant in his ideas, being able to come up with such incredible matterial at such a young age withOUT the internet at his reach. He was, no doubt, not only incredibly smart and successful, but, filthy rich, able to afford the BEST of medical care to boot... and, yet, cancer... got him.

While normally we can and should separate out his creativity from his personal opinions ... he did use his influence to promote his personal belief that Global Warming is a hoax.
He actually became a sort of 'Science Advisor' to George W Bush and provided GW the talking points to use against Global Warming.

As if to prove what a small minded individual he was, he introduced a character into his book "NEXT" that was a critic of his stance on Global Warming. The character was a child rapist.
Again, I believe we can and should separate out his creativity from his politics.
If anything ... the disgrace rests more with George W. Bush for relying on an author of FICTION to fashion his position on SCIENCE.
I will be SO happy to see GeeDub go ... what a disaster. -

I have loved all his books. His imagination with all the ''science'' was done in such a way as to be entertaining and enlightning. He made you think and consider different realities. I always looked forward to his next book. I will miss him terribly.

He was a genius. One of the first major critics of the global warming b.s. premised upon real facts and rational thinking
