I agree that God is sovereign. That word means He is King. God does NOT want for us to have other Kings or other Presidents; in fact, God wants us all to put ourselves under God's Kingship.

The thinking that God puts Kings and Presidents and Prime Ministers, etc. into those positions is not shared by all believers, but is is a doctrine supported by some.

I believe that Sen. Obama is a man; he is not divine. WE elected Sen. Obama to be our next President; God did not force him on us. My hope is in Christ, but my prayers are that Pres. Obama will do his best to BE righteous and to DO justice. It would be great if we could all make those things guiding principles for our lives. Such a perspective would draw us toward God.
