I present myself as evidence that God is real.

Or I could have as easily presented any part of creation as evidence.
For example, consciousness cannot be explained by random mutations over time. The physics of consciousness is something designed, not some coincidence.

            dissent:

Well, if evolution by random mutation is accurate, there ought to be a lot of oddballs. And perhaps there are: giraffe, armadillo, butterfly, e coli, yeast. But your suggestion is that there are individual oddballs and that I am one. That really has nothing to do with evolution (random mutation and natural selection) at all.

In my estimation, it is unfortunate that there are those that "believe in" evolution without understanding it as much as it is unfortunate that there are those that "believe in" the Bible without seeming to even try to assess whether it is consistent with empirical data.

There are many scientists I know that are atheists or agnostics. There are many scientists I know that are religious (believe in some supernatural power). What is great is how much we all agree on, including that the world - including its species - continues to change. The disagreement among us is whether the change occurs through random mutation and natural selection or whether it occurs under some guided direction. Whichever side you choose, you can't show that the alternative must be incorrect.

I'm not sure how much biology you have studied, but perhaps if you consider the patterns of RNA / DNA across life on earth, you might see something that you not recognized before.

You know, Richard Dawkins likes to say that belief in God is unreasonable because it is so unnecessary. He says that everything can be explained w/o God, so why bring God into it? Still, if God IS real, then it doesn't matter whether everything COULD be explained without God. That's like trying to say that everything CAN be explained without black holes, therefore we should deny their existence. Reality doesn't work that way.
