And the real winner is…Peggy the Moocher »

My syndicated column today looks at how both parties in Washington have fueled our out-of-control bailout mania and entitlement culture. The ethos is embodied by Peggy the Moocher — the Obama supporter who is no doubt ecstactic today over the prospect of her gas and mortgage bills being covered. We are a Land of Peggy the Moochers now, in large part thanks to Republican capitulationists. That is the main point of the piece and I don’t want you to miss it. It’s not just about one Obama supporter. It’s about the endless parade of corporations and homeowners lining up for their handout and how the GOP failed fiscal conservatism.

    FTA

Sorry to break the bad news to Joe the Plumber. But the winner of Campaign 2008 is Peggy the Moocher. No matter who moves into the White House, Peggy’s got good reason to do a happy dance. The plain, ugly fact is that both major political parties are committed to spreading the wealth in one form or another. It’s all just a question of how much and how quickly, not whether.

We are about to enter an Atlas Shrugged period in history

It is going to get very ugly when the campaign promises fall by the wayside

campaign promises are only as strong as the ability of the president to convince capital hill to write correct policy. then pass or veto. what we saw the past 8 yrs was a congress unwilling to EVER do the right thing, GOP filibusters whenever the right thing appeared before them and bush vetoing everything that managed to trickle its way to his desk. some promises bush NEVER intended to even attempt. i firmly believe obama will do everything in his power to bring his promises to fruition. let's all wait and see. he isn't even in the oval office yet.

I am sure the auto companies are salivating at the thought of Federal money. Wonder if they will increase the mileage on new cars with Federal money? Wonder if they just want the money to pay the unions their 61 Billion owed for retirement programs?

Peggy the Moocher FTA- Because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know. If I help [Obama], he’s gonna help me.”

Sounds like career welfare? Peggy my dear lady why not get an education from the government and go for the gold instead of letting the democrats 'take care of you' by tossing you a few crumbs from Uncle Sugar.

Why be happy with crumbs when you can attain your own wealth and be a self sufficient woman? Maybe the democrats want you to be 'beholding' to them so you will keep voting democrat.

If you become self sufficient you will not need their 'crumbs.'
