I would REALLY like to know who was really responsible for this debacle!

I've never accepted the notion that McCain chose her himself - nor have I ever, anywhere, read any evidence that he did. [Perhaps I missed something?!]
Talk about an "odd couple"!!
Their body language together was like polarities that couldn't mesh.
For all the talk of SP being a future player I seriously doubt that she'll be remembered on the national level any longer or with any more interest than Dan Quayle or .. what's his name!-

It’s hard to say whether or not Sarah will appear again on a national level. The religious right sure liked her. The really interesting thing about that is the religious right have lost their clout. They can rant and rave, but nobody has to listen to them anymore. Their day in the sun is over. They have become totally irrelevant.

We'll definitely see Sarah Palin again. Repackaged, recoiffed, and maybe even, reeducated. Hopefully, she'll again be rebuffed and voters will recoil from her!

As long as we have a religious right, trickle down theorists, Neocons, creationists, and those who would profit from wars, energy cartels, and keeping the working class suppressed, we will have Sarah Palins and John McCains.
McCain's big lie. "America First" , became apparent when Stupid Sarah became his running mate, regardless of who was responsible for her choice. Most Americans resented the slap in the face to their intelligence and voted accordingly.
The best thing McCain has ever done for America was to LOSE this election. The very possibility that this bimbo could have been a heartbeat away from the presidency is STILL a nightmare for those who realize that voting for a President is more serious than voting for American Idol or Dancing With The Stars.

What I feel telling about that is it was a serious issue for the opponent, but not an issue for their candidate. It demonstrates that they are not using the same yardstick when making comparisons. It is not about the welfare of the country, it is about winning and projecting your philosophic mantra upon the electorate. To be fair, both sides live in that world.
They no longer serve the electorate. That is scary. How can a president state he is doing something for the good of the country when the country is telling him they don't want it? -

Blitzer called the stories "wild" and MSNBC used the same term
this morning (Scarborough - what a surprise!). "Wild", is like
calling these stories outrageous - which would indicate they
were fabricated. I don'think they were - even though they are
difficult to believe. That she actually inquired of her coaches
if THEY were sure that South Africa was really a COUNTRY - and
not a southern region of the COUNTRY of Africa?? The Sarkozy
phone pranking? I have felt it was a Palin prank all along.
That she knew it was not authentic, but played along for the
publicity it would get. I'm sure she thought it would show
what a good sport she is - not that she looked beyond ignorant
talking to a head of state in such a manner. She is a dangerously ambitious fool. But NEVER write her possible
re-packaging and subsequent election off as impossible -
it has happened before.-

I have to disagree with you about her knowing anything about the call as a joke. As a former prank caller the first thing is you start out legit and the longer the call goes on the more obnoxious you get and the more hints you drop to see how bad you can fool them. If you happen to be on the receiving end of the prank call the proper response is to out do the pranksters in playing the story. What this means is if the pranksters make fun of you for wanting to hunt wolves from a helicopter you out do them by demanding an immediate shipment of Apache copters with all their laser and FLIR targeting systems because you say those wolves are crafty and also are practicing socialism.

Honestly, when it comes to Palin, I think Jindal will beat her in the primaries assuming they both run in 2012. Both are young enough that I don't see them running in 2012 at all if Obama has high approval numbers. 2016 might be when we next see her.

Sarah Palin thinks the alphabet has 22 letters. She's so dumb she thinks the capital of China is Chinatown. Sarah Palin is so dumb, she thinks billboards are postcards from Giants. The governor of Alaska is so dumb, she thinks soy milk is Spanish for 'I am milk.'" --Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac

Fox news with Bill O'reilly and Sean Hannity better move to Alaska. Bill can tutor Lipstick on History and Geography and Sean can keep heaping praises on her.

First, if McCain didn't know she was an idiot, it's his fault, because he picked her.

Second, Even if she takes the clothes back, it's still bad for the economy. That's an old trick. Wear a dress once and take it back.
Third,...(most importantly)... If McCain can't run a campaign without it breaking into a "McCain camp" and a "Palin camp", how can he bring an obviously divided country together. -

But DID HE, DID HE, DID HE???
I am still begging somebody, ANYBODY to show me any evidence that that's how it was.
Let's face it - one election back we'd have been able to conjecture that Karl Rove's lack of knowledge of the female of the species had for once thrown him off course.
He apparently really was not involved with this election but it still seems to me far more likely that McC had this bimbo thrust upon him, rather than choosing her..
Last question on this topic..
Did flailin' Palin feel the need to lock her room at night or would she even have been willing to pay THAT price..[A theoretical question I believe - or is THAT why their body-language looked so uncomfortable when they were together?
