I went there last year. Very few Americans, mostly Europeans, japanese, Koreans, and other Asians. Stayed in a hotel with a balcony that overlooks the beach. It sort of lost the beautiful nature that this island once had. It has become much to touristy. Nice to visit, but there are other places to go that give you a much better feel for the beauty and culture of Aklan.
